Description
Just my unrealistic take. I'm sure some mtl or aves fans won't like the deals. Even van. And for those worried about the whole you need to sign Dahlin joker and danault next year, I have about 17 mill in space next year with contacts coming off

I'd keep Reinhart before signing Toffoli, anyway, Avs probably reject that trade...Vancouver trades isn't that far maybe we need to add a pick...Montreal trades is fine value wise but you will get bashed on here because every Habs fan thinks he hisa 1C when he is borderline a 2C

Question from a CBJ fan: what is Mittelstadt's value in a trade at this point? It doesn't seem like any Sabres fans have confidence in him to be a significant contributor in 20-21, and while he has a lot of potential, he no longer seems to be a top-10-in-the-league prospect. What would you expect coming back in a trade that moved him out of Buffalo?

I traded reino because of the pieces he could bring in. I was targeting a 1st round pick instead of newhook but realized it'll be a very late first so I'd rather have the young center prospect. I signed and probably overpaid for tt because I wanted another stud on the first line. Hall is unrealistic and a lw. Hoffman is a little older and dadnaov isn't the fit. Tt was a last min decision.

I think mitts will be a 3rd line center for his career. And now that's where Dylan cozens is projected to be. No sabres fan is putting a struggling mitts with a learning cozens. Doesn't make sense. He's either a 4th line lw or an extra unless his game really steps up. However it would not surprise me if he turns into a 2nd line center as his projections.

So what does that fetch in a trade? A guy like Markus Nutivaara who can be a third-pairing D now? A goalie prospect? A 3rd? A 4th? Just trying to get a read on this.

I can't see Colorado trading Newhook tho and Reinhart is not only a quality top 6 player he's Eichel's best friend, it's too risky to trade him. But without getting Graves and Donskoi, you could probably have both of Reinhart and Toffoli

COL declines.

Newhook projects to be a better than Reinhart, then you’ve got COL adding in Graves and a serviceable guy like Donskoi on top of that

Well for the MTL trade that depends on what you think of Ristolainen.

Regardless of the actual value it's more about team needs and MTL don't need Ristolainen as much as they need Danault.

It's like if Colorado offered Makar for Eichel. Some would likely feel the value is pretty decent but most Sabres fans would probably prefer to keep the 1C given their weakness down the middle and logjam at RD. Colorado for their part would likely feel like defense is a bigger need for them then C.

Actually Ristolainen would fit pretty well with Montreal, he would bring size to your blueline and help Weber with playing big minutes each and every games. I actually don't like Danault at all so I wouldn't do the trade but saying Ristolainen would not help Montreal is just false

Just because you finished with 3 more points in two more games to be the last team in a 24 teams tournament doesn't really makes you better than us lol

Could we get Josh Anderson?
I can’t risk giving him away for a 2nd or 3rd rounder and him become what he should be.

I didn't say Ristolainen couldn't help MTL's blueline. I said Danault is more important to MTL than Ristolainen would be.

You also seem to be forgetting about Petry who is already taking away some of the load off Weber. And MTL's blueline is plenty big as their top 4 is much bigger than BUF's already (Weber, Petry, Chiarot and Kulak are 6'4, 6'3, 6'3 and 6'2 respectively).

I wouldn’t trade him unless he were essential to the deal, and it was a trade we absolutely had to make. I believe he can be at least a 30 point player in a full season this coming year. He was asked to be a second line center far too early and he had a bad year last year, but no one not named Jack Eichel (or lucky enough to play on his line) for the Sabres had a good one. Anyone looking to trade for him now is looking to get a player of his caliber for less than he is worth. I don’t give up on him yet.

The point I was making was that Ristolainen is playing a role he shouldn't be and he's hurting the Sabres, but that flew right over your head, didn't it?

I mean, Ristolainen has been really solid for us since we drafted him, if you think he is the problem, maybe you should watch some Sabres games and not just look at stats on hockeyDB, Risto isn't the problem at all.
