Why trade Liljegren? He's by far one of the best defenders in the AHL and will be NHL Ready either this year or next, and he's also Right Handed. Tbh Freddy is better than Murray, so you could probably get away with trading Freddie and like a 4th rounder for Murray.

with Tarasenko on LTIR and the Allen trade we have enough cap space to keep Pietrangelo, so we are not moving Colton Parayko

Until you want to bring Tarasenko off LTIR then you are in the same trouble and have even less negotiating power to move a bad contract than you do now. The problem didn't just disappear.

You're overpaying on Murray, considering that he didn't have the best season.
The Parayko trade might work if they wanted to shop Parayko, which they aren't.

Another player getting injured wont clear the 7m cap space you'll need for Tarasenko and Steen/Bozak will never be easy to move. Its cute you want to ignore it but its not a problem that just disappeared.

First of all you are giving up to much to get matt murray and Hyman is better the Blais.

assuming Pietrangelo signs for around 9 million, dunn for 3.5, and husso is the back up at 750k, we will have a little over a million in cap space with Tarasenko on LTIR. With moving Bozak, who will be easy to move mid-way through the season to teams who need centres due to injuries, and potentially a mid season buy-out on Steen, we will have more than enough cap space. That being said, it might be a good idea for the blues to explore moving one of those guys in the off-season, to ensure cap space when Tarasenko is back

Murray for Andersen, Liljegren, 1st

I suppose Liljegren for Murray. The 1st is then to help the Pens dump Andersen since even Leafs fans can't figure out how to dump him except to give him to Pittsburgh (who have zero interest in a goalie)
