definitely not an overpay.

Underpay maybe... Kerfoot is nothing special.

And Edmonton doesn't need more defenseman who haven't proven anything yet, they have plenty

Why on earth would oilers give up that pick for spare parts that don’t do much for the roster?

Leafs give up a lot for Parayko and Sunny? Overpay? Is there a hidden section with more stuff coming to the Blues or something?

That... is gruesome.

Where is "the room" to sign Pietrangelo exactly?

Parayko = 5.5M
Sundqvist = 2.75M
TOTAL = 8.25M

Kerfoot = 3.5M
Johnsson = 3.4M
Rodrigues = 2M (base QO)
Liljegren = 850k
TOTAL = 9.7M

You need to work on your basic math my friend

Except you haven't bothered to look at Liljegrin He's one of the best prospects who's an obvious NHL roster player next season. He's been an excellent offensive D who can play well in his own end and was at the top of the AHL in scoring last season and the team was ****. You guys think the whole league is going to give you 4 firsts a second and a third for him and your magically going to sign Petrangelo to league min. Good luck with that.

Nobody's qualifying him. You don't. You do the same the Leafs were going to do and offer him less and if he doesn't then let him walk and sign someone else.

They aren't spare parts. Dermott is excellent just not a guy vital to our roster because of Muzzin. Too good for a third line D. Johnsson is a super quick top 6 forward who's amazing at puck retrieval and passing. It's fantastic value but i'm sure the Leafs could work out another trade and since the oilers Stanely cup win with your amazing forward supporting staff I can see how you would want to stand pat. Cheers.

Whatever man. If the other team isn't ****ting on it it's not a good deal. It's Hilarious blues fans think Pietrangelo will play for free.

Ok sure, lets subtract 2M from ~9.7M

What do we get? 7.7M

Then lets assume they don't even resign him. In total St. Louis saves ~550k in cap space here. Not even a league min contract

The point was that they trade Bozaks contract. It's a flat cap. Every team is hurting.

Dude. Are you actually pretending that I am the one inflating player worth here? Holy crap.

And no, I don't want **** for Colt. He's not available at all.

So if the Blues have to let Rodrigues walk, why do you imagine adding him in the trade means anything?

So let me ask you this., What's your trade that allows the blues to resign Pietrangelo and who are you trading him to. Remember that the team that takes him needs to Make it under the flat cap and it has to make sense for him. Because by the sounds of it your saying tell him to piss off.

Overpay for Parayko?? Then someone above said something like four 1sts and second, blah, blah, blah." None of the St. Louisans I've read on here have ever asked for more than two 1sts for Colt55. Ever. @mokumboi was correct when he replied that the Note having to rid themselves of Rodrigues does nothing for the trade. That's about as clear and common sense as one could be. Adding Kerplunk doesn't do much either. Sure, Lily is a decent prospect, but he's not someone that screams #1 defenseman. Hell, I'm not sure Sandin is a #1...more likely a #2. The 1st round pick is a good start, but the Note doesn't HAVE to move Parayko. Bozak and Allen have positive value and can be moved and likely will. The Blues could move Sanford, depending on who they get back for Bozak and Allen (if they get someone for them at all). Dunn is also a candidate to be moved, but he's way down on the list to move. Steen, while not likely to occur, could be bought out as well. This isn't an overpay for 55.

Neither of those players have value in a flat cap world. Nobody is paying those players that to play their positions and paying you for the pleasure.
