Statsny and McNabb costs you more than that think it would take along the same lines of what the Sabres would ask for Reinhart and Montour

I doubt that. Maybe switch Risto for Montour, thats the most id do. Statsny has only a year left and theres been rumours they just wanna dump him for a pick.

I don't think the cost for Stastny and Mcnabb is remotely close to that of Reinhart and Montour...Stastny is 34 going on 35 yo and is a ufa after next year.

if its all the same to you, please refrain from having any sabres gm trade for or otherwise acquire any 5 million dollar wingers from the islanders. Other than that, it looks pretty fair, although if i were kahuns agent, i would think a shorter deal is better. If you like him enough to give him 5 years, you are probably thinking he is going to be a core piece, and i would bet the stats would favor a raise. My 2 cents.

Wow didn't realize Statsny was that old lol. I remember when he was drafted by the Avs, didn't seem like that long ago lol. Ok so maybe it wouldn't cost that much. I was thinking he was only like 30ish.

I don't think he gets much more than that on a 5 year deal maybe 4, but he is likely looking between 2.3 and 3 on a short term deal so even 3.5 to 4 AAV is a significant bump

Bailey is not at the top of the list for players to move, but if the Isles cannot move Leddy then they would need to take picks like you offered.

IMO Vegas would love to make that trade.
While Stastny is better than Johansson, he is also paid $2,000,000 more.
McCrimmon may make the exchange to cut the cap and get 5 years younger while not losing much talent.

On the other hand McNabb <<< Ristolainen and McNaab < Montour.
I wish DATM never traded McNabb, it was just another one of his terrible moves. Two seconds and McNabb for career AHL and NHL 4th liner.
Just imagine Zadorov, McNabb, Ristolainen and McCabe all banging away at the other teams forwards.

Uhhh maybe 8 years ago. Statsny is worth a 2nd or 3rd as a rental and McNabb would get you a B prospect.
