dzingel had a down year and he was not given much ice time... he's not an overpaid expiring third liner. Trade value for the most part is built on a two year trend, not only the previous year. Ryan still carries decent value as a strong candidate to get 25-30 goals with the right pairing... mcdavid could easily make him a 25-30 goal getter again

i think i underpaid... and i admitted that... but my deal is a lot closer than yours is... necas already carries more value than mantha, who has been plagued with injuries.

Mantha should get a top 6 prospect, a first, a lesser top 6 or top 4D prospect, a roster player and another later pick

I think Geekie will be a mainstay on most teams 2nd lines and essentially will reach where mantha is right now. Nino can be a placefiller... he's overpaid but still a decent middle sixer. I forgot to add the other prospect, which i later stated.

Mantha is good, but I'm afraid that he is leaving the elite territory... he's getting older and he has not reached the potential he was supposed to yet... largely due to injury. Best comparable is Pacioretty, who got severely overpaid for as it was... but at the time we didn't see Suzuki as anything crazy. Geekie is essentially his filler in this trade

I can't see DET moving Mantha for an older player (Nino). Geekie is a decent piece, and the picks are ok, but take out Nino. You'd probably have to throw in Bean+ to make that work for Mantha.

I'd honestly really like the Oilers to have Dzingel but the Canes would need to take a contract other than JP back. They don't have the money to take on 3+ million. Probably have to be Kris Russell or hey if you're really generous, you could have James Neal?
