Yeah that's why I added Roslovic to help out with the center problem. I can see why they'd still say no to this because Roslovic would be a #2 at best and I don't know if Domi is a #1

As a Jet fan I'd say this is an overpayment. Chabot is a fantastic defenseman and would be a top 2 anywhere in the NHL. I think in all honesty if Ottawa were to do this it would probably be closer to a 1 for 1.

Also, I hate people who just say "Troll" or "delete this" without any explanation. Have a debate and say reasons don't be a douche.

I don't watch Florida (no one really does) but going based off basic stats I don't think Ekblad is any better than Pionk. They almost have identical points, +/-, PIMS, etc. So using my wonderful logic, you are saying Laine for a 3rd line winger, a center who had 23 points in the AHL and a 2nd? I think the Jets could maybe get more? Now this only makes sense if my very quick estimation on Ekblad is accurate.

Instead of using all those picks for Cirelli, why not acquire it in a trade or something with Laine?

Yeah as an Oiler fan I can't see TO taking this. I think a lot of people are low on Kassian right now because of his crap playoffs and I wonder if people think he's a cap dump right now. I'm not saying that he is a cap dump but hockey fans have a what have you done for me lately mentality. He'd play in TO bottom 6 and it's a lot for him. I can see Nurse going to TO and Nylander going to EDM but it would need to be a different trade

I don't see why the Oilers do that. From what I've seen stats wise, Koskinen is better (right now) than Hutton. I'd maybe be okay with the 1 for 1 goalie swap for a change of scenery but I don't think the Oilers would trade Poolparty right now for a second. Just my thoughts

I agree it's maybe more of a speculation and i should have picked my wording better. I think I heard it before COVID saying something about how he doesn't like how Barry Trotz coaches with such a strong emphasis on defense. I may have heard this on TSN or Sportsnet. Idk

I like the Oilers trade. However, if the Oilers did this, they'd have to shed some of their own cap to make it work. Not saying that TB would take any back, more they'd have to send Russell, Neal, etc. somewhere else. They don't have the space to take on Killorn without it. If the Oilers were to do that, I think that's a very fair trade

I don't watch Montreal, but is Suzuki ready to be a 2nd line center? I'd think Winnipeg would want back someone who is roster proven like Domi. Something like Suzuki, Domi, 1st, and a 3rd?

I mean even that might be high, Laine hasn't reached 35+ goals or 65+ points in the last two seasons. I'm not saying he's a bad player at all, BUT, he's inconsistent and has been on a slight decline the last two seasons points wise. I think Winnipeg fans (I don't know if you are) over hype him a little too much. This coming from a person who lives in Winnipeg

I see where you are going with the Eichel trade but I think it's a little low. Both Hughes and Zacha are unproven rookies. Zacha in particular i think has a low value right now. Hughes I still think is worth a decent amount but I would assume Buffalo would want a more proven roster player from the Devils (or any other team).

I don't watch either team so I may be off but just my thoughts.

As an Oiler fan, i like the idea of getting Kerfoot. My issue with the trade is I don't think they'd want to lose soooo many draft picks. Also, I don't know if they can take on the full 3.5 million each year without giving a contract back in return. What about Chaisson and get rid of a third round pick?

So my thought is that Roslovic has a higher value right now than JP as we don't really know what he is. I figured you'd need to give them at least one roster player but he would only play 5th-6th D on the Jets so the 3rd was to spice it up.

It doesn't have to be DeMelo. If you look at the descriptionI just think the Oilers should get someone who could play that 6th or 7th defense role so the Bouchard could step in and out if he's ready. Sort of what Benning is but older and not as expensive.

Sujet: A few trades

Yeah I cheer for both the Jets and Oilers. To me, get rid of Poolparty and I'd take the trade. I think the Oilers try to hang onto him this year to see what his value is. I'd rather Poolparty go to a team with a struggling prospect of their own to see if it's a change of scenery
