Why, all of a sudden, do leafs fans think they are getting Carlo lolll

So here is the most accurate trade I can think of (based on Comments from yestersdays three posts so its not fully my idea)

The trade will NOT happen: Bruins dont want to do it, and the leafs probably wouldnt either, BUTTTTT if a trade WERE to happen, this is the closest to it.

It still probably sucks for the bruins, but I dont want to seem biased so im trying to overcompensate

The stetcher trade: idk again probably an overpay with Kase and Zboril, but might as well try to not be biased.(just wanted a second dpair guy

You are overly biased just thinking about getting anything close to Nylander for Carlo. And Leafs fans dont want Carlo. The post where all the things of that nature are was a post about what would Leafs offer IF it were to happen and answers were in realm of Kapanen. Which is realistic. Not Nylander LMAO maybe Alex.

Lol no. Carlo is a beast defensively, and just because he doesnt do offense as much, that doesnt make him a worse player.
Lol thats clear as day

Carlo is also on an amazing contract (dont let the 2.5 mil fool you, he is a 5 million dollar guy)

I know Carlo is great defensively but does he really have the offense to his game to justify this trade? I know he’s important to Boston, which increases his value but this seems like overkill, especially with the retention on Nylander

Not nearly enough potential for an overall team improvement in that Leafs deal. Easy no from Toronto.

This is akin to the Canes asking for Pastrnak and offering Pesce as the only compensation. Boston would rightly never consider doing that. (I'm not comparing Pastrnak to Nylander here). Just that a trade like that is equally as unlikely.

Hard no from the Leafs.

Dude just because you hate the bruins doesn’t mean you can call bruins fans biased when he is clearly working hard to not be biased (and oh yeah he actually does a really good job)

You aren’t getting Carlo unless it’s a bit of an overlay as the two parties are extremely happy with eachother

No from the Leafs imo. That retention ruins it. Not that they'd do it without it, mind you, but I don't think it's in terms of value that far-fetched as Leafs fans seem to think...

Also BOS needs to pay to get rid of Moore. The guy is decent, but his contract is just dead money...any team could get a player close to his level much cheaper from free agency, especially now when the cap is very tight due to the virus.

Just stop.. Carlo is my favourite Bruin, very solid defenseman defensively.. Nylander is superstar. Thats just the easiest no by Leafs ever. If Carlo was established top pairing D (he is second pairing D) and regularly played 22+ minutes a night then Leafs might start to consider it.

Nylander has much more value than Carlo, and get out of here with the retention.

and Carlo's "great contract" has 1 year left and then he will need to be paid.

This is a bad comparison. Pasta is significantly better than Nylnder, and Pesce is equal to or worse than Carlo. Take it from a nonbruins fan

I dont hate the bruins. And saying Nylander for Carlo is fair is super biased opinion.

Nylander is worth more than Carlo, but if he is a super star, so is Sam Reinhart.

Unfortunately people hilariously over rating any defender the leafs might have interest in and then asking exorbitant prices for them while pretending its acceptable value is not a new trend.

Definitely not overrating here. Leafs fans just think they can give up a guy they can’t afford to sign for a beast of a defenseman. That’s not how business works

Both teams would say no. The point of the post is irrelevant. There is no "rumour" of any trade ever even being considered.

He played with Eichel so that low scoring comment makes no sense.

Is he as versatile as nylander? Is he a possession machine? How is he at centre? Can he carry his own line? How is he defensively?

actually most certainly over rating here, Bruins (and other) fans just seem to think they can squeeze insane value out of the Leafs simply because of the leafs cap and desire for a good RHD. That's not how business works either. The Leafs arnt going to starve or go out of business if they dont get that RHD, so they arnt going to stupidly over pay for one just because.
