Cirelli could be offer sheeted for cheaper but I want to have control of him instead of waiting to see if he signs our offer sheet so I overpay for him instead. That's how desperate I am for a 1C. I only made the Sharks offer because I saw someone make it to begin with and I was just building off of it.

I really like Petterson and like I said in the details, I feel like I overvalue our players too often so I truly don't know his market at this point. As a 3rd party, what do you think he's honestly worth?

I saw someone suggest the other day McDonagh to MIN as a replacement for Brodin. Maybe a Cirelli+McDonagh for Brodin+ trade?

I saw that too and I'm not opposed to it. Just obviously concerned about what's leaving with Brodin. What's your asking price?

I think for CGY and MIN I would wait a year on that trade. Hopefully Dumba bounces back . Also we don't know what M-E-P is at the pro level, so there's risk for both sides.

I don't have one, if I did Wild would pay me 300k per year lol. Best reasonable bet is OS Cirelli to something like 6 or 6.5 mil. After that maybe trade for a promising prospect if that doesn't work watch the Sharks this next season if they bottom out again I think we can bet on a rebuild there maybe we can steal Hertl then. I guess I don't know.

No worries man, I don't take Armchair GM too harshly. It is just an online forum after all. I'm worried about offer sheeting Cirelli without a trade. Is he going to want to come to Minnesota?

What sucks is that, in reality, we're going to have to probably be patient and draft our Centers, or like you said, successfully offer sheet Cirelli. But hell, this is armchair GM. I'm going to be aggressive to get that 1C next year!

That's the risk I was banking on. I figured Dumba's value has dropped due to his lack of production post-injury. I saw you have both Brodie and Hamonic going to UFA so I thought it might persuade you to trade for Dumba if you cant bring them back. I LOVED watching Petterson in college but who knows if he'll pan out. Borgstrom down in FLA hasn't panned out yet and I thought he was going to make the immediate jump from college straight to the NHL with success. But, I figured that we really need center prospects so the risk is worth it to me.

Sorry, that's a fat no from the Sharks. Pretty bad value for us, and I don't really see why Minnesota would want Burns back with Spurgeon being a borderline 1RD.

Sharks will pass. I take Burns over Zuccarello everytime although the idea of swapping him for a big forward contract isn’t bad
