I think NSH will be reluctant to trade Tolvanen. The deal itself is relatively fair, but I think NSH would be interested in other pieces going back to ANA.

I would do Risto for Silfverberg if he'd waive and offer Mittlestadt and a second for Rakell if I had a sense that he would resign.

That Jets trade gets them thinking heavily, although as a jets fan I think ANA is overpaying for ehlers in that deal. I think the jets would have to say yes to this.

I'd pass on pretty much all of these, especially the Ehlers deal. No way we move our 1st for next year and I don't see Ehlers bringing anything more than what Rakell does. Rakell actually has better career numbers overall and it's not like Ehlers doesn't have any down years. IMO, Rakell is getting criminally underrated.

Nah from me, we're already loosing Risto for Silf, I'd only considered bc Silf's age (not Risto's, he's already peaked most likely) and I really would have 0 interest in Mittlestadt as the main return for well just about anyone, but especially Raks

No, that title belongs to Mark Scheifele. Elite #1Cs posting 80+ pts per season are better than top 6 wingers that have never hit 30 goals. I'd take Kyle O'Connor over Ehlers any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Shame he plays LW.

I'm not a fan of any of these moves. Putting aside Anaheim's obvious need for offense, let's just consider the Ducks' other major shortcoming: the result of all of these deals, including trading three of our top 6 forwards, is to exchange Rasmus Ristolainen for Josh Manson. I think that kind of turnover should result in a stronger right side.

Kyle is fine in the D-zone, certainly no worse than most top flight wingers. In any event, I want my wingers scoring goals. Defence is just a bonus.

He's a massive liability in his own end, he's literally worse defenseively than he is good offensively, he's nothing more than a second liner that had some great shooting luck, which is not something I'd want to bank on again

Rico is a fine 2c, but nothing special, plus both him and Manson are a few years older than Ehlers, and trading Ehlers leaves a pretty big hole in the top 6 wings, and fixes a MASSIVE need for the ducks, like if they do this and sign a decent top 4 Right D man, they should be able to (with a top 5 pick, and Zegras coming) at least compete for a playoff spot, especially in a very weak division, that pick could easily end up around 12 to 15

Yeah, he doesn't have a ton of responsibilities, but the few he has, he can't do.

I've watched KC a fair bit and his defensive game never really stuck out badly to me. In any event, he's not critical on defence, so I'd still take him over Ehlers. Kids gonna get 40 goals one day. Could have done it this season if it was for the lockdown. "Meh", to each his own. I like Ehlers too, so I wouldn't be disappointed in getting him.

I wouldn't characterise Schiefele as a "low end 1C". He's not McDavid, but he's top 15 C in the league. Weird logic nonetheless. Anyway, you're of course welcome to your opinion. I don't think many would agree with you though.
