Description
Assuming no CBOs and cap will be frozen at 81.5 million for 3 seasons.

How is value in Rangers trade?
Does anything need to be added?

The Canucks have a backup for Demko as I do think Markstrom will be back there.

I'd rather keep Boldy. I'd also rather not have anyone on the team with the last name Strome.

Still appreciate your perspective.
Is it cause you want to rebuild?

The NYR trade is bad for MN, like really bad. Boldy looks to be a stud, and Strome for Staal is a lateral move at best for MN.

Tor trade is just stuff. Bracco > Lodnia, but Bracco would be lost to waivers because he won't make the lineup. The d-men swap is just something to do? Menell and Belpedio will need to pass though waivers next year for MN and the have Addison in the system. Fenton drafted pretty well in his short time here, so maybe there is hope for FJ?

Van trade is meh, but the 4th for Dub might be too much after last year. He's been playing like a goalie who would easily pass though waivers. I don't think Van even bothers with the trade.

Given the teams player development and prospect development over the last year I've changed my perspective and I'm on board with the retooling.

I'm ok with Strome, don't love it, but Wild are overpaying for him.

Any deal involving Bracco instantly turns my stomach and Räsänen doesn't seem to be a guy that fits the Wild defenseman type. Wild are not really a physical defensive team.

The last trade isn't awful but I'm not comfortable going into the season with just Kahkonen and Stalock.
Kahkonen looks promising but it's the AHL and Stalock is a bad deal if forced into the number 1 role.

Strome? He's had 1 decent season and that was the season the Rangers got Panarin. I'm sure it's not a coincidence.

I would have interest in Strome if Staal was moved, Cirelli signed, and Ek centers the 2nd line, but im not giving anywhere near this much to get him. Id walk away if the ask was more than a 2nd round pick...even if i do think a line of Parise/Strome/Zuccarello might (potentially) be a great 3rd line..

And that’s the problem. You don’t give up a guy who projects to be a top 6 forward for a 3rd line center. If the ask for either Strome was a 2nd, I’d roll the dice and do it but giving up a 1st or a blue chip prospect? I’d rather bring back Galch, Koivu, or use Rask as a placeholder until Guerin can find a center some other way.

Fair point.

Credit to you for at least trying to address what the Wild need. Too many of these are just "here's Dermott or Johnsson" despite neither of them being an area the team needs to add to.
