He used 2 CBOs.... that means Tampa has 2. They don’t have to trade anyone. Just buy out Gourde and someone else.

The only way to make this work is to not have CBOs so Tampa has to eat the cap.

Lets be honest, Tampa’s GM is thinking the same thing. But with their NTCs and NMCs, they’re not gonna wanna move. Easier said than done. Sorry. Ain’t happening. ~ from a Montreal Fan

They still can't afford everyone they want/have. They're gonna have to trade somebody in addition to 2 CBOs

Killorn's would be the easiest since he has M-NTC...if I were DW, I would avoid offer sheeting and ask what BriseBois' plan is...instead of Sergachev/Cernak, would settle for Killorn to help the forward depth

also I'm pretty sure DW doesn't to part with Vlasic...and also I'm pretty sure Sharks don't want to CBO 2 players cause I think Hasso won't be willing to pay 2 players who won't even be on the team (is that how the CBO works? I know it doesn't count against the cap and 13-14 had the chance to CBO 2, but does the team that CBOs have to pay the remaining buyout salary? I would assume yes)

also sergachev would get more money and u sanjose wonders why they have cap problems when they sign a fifth dman fro over 4m per year. also as stated above they're are players with huge contracts and yes some have nmc but that still doesn't mean they won't allow a trade to go through also tampa would trade mcdonough and get assets before they let sergachev walk for a first

Interesting how SJ gets 2 CBO's and Tampa doesn't. If they did I'm sure Tampa would be able to match

Doubtful. Cerelli, Sregavhev and Carnak won’t cost more then 17 mil. So about 7 mil in players who they lose as UFAs and about 10 mil in buying out Gourde and one of Killorn or Johnson. If push comes to shove they let Sergachev go and get a 1st/3rd back for him, but if they get to him before anyone else can talk to them they have a chance.

Tampa could also see that Stamkos isn’t worth 8.5 mil and buy him out. There’s tons of options if you give 2 CBOs...

I don’t think you understand how the 2 CBOs will help Tampa with their cap issues and give them more then enough cap room for the 3 players.
