I'll put this one down to inexperience, and try to explain why it's such a terrible idea for Anaheim.
Johnsson and Kapanen would, indeed, probably be an upgraded second line over what we have now, but (1) what we have now probably has a greater upside after another season, and (2) it would require moving (i.e., giving up on) one of either Maxime Comtois or Max Jones on the left and Ondrej Kase or Troy Terry on the right. So these two players aren't really of interest to us.
Cody Ceci isn't the answer to Anaheim's need to bolster the right side of the defense this year and, because he's a UFA, he isn't a long-term solution, either.
Anaheim has two major problems: a very weak offense and a lack of depth on the right side of the defense (the only RhD in the entire system are Manson, Eric Gudbranson, Korbinian Holzer and Hunter Drew, and the latter is unsigned). So what they need is a big-time scorer (two 40-point guys won't make an impact) and a high-quality RhD with term of at least 3 more years. This trade has neither.
The value of Lindholm alone is greater than that entire package and the Ducks probably wouldn't trade Manson alone for it, either.
