You can try another 100 times if you want but you've got no chance getting Coleman for that.

And you can try to convince me that he's worth more than that 100 more times but you're not going to be successful

I could be being a homer rn, but i really like Almari, I haven't watched him since the beginning of the season, but he really impressed me when i did watch him, i think he has top 4 potential (note potential... not floor). I'd probably take him over POJ rn, but then again POJ just didn't show anything in the A in the beginning of the year

It's one thing to say NJ is going to retain him, but to think that he couldn't be had for a 2nd and a middle six tracking prospect, plus an additional one is ridiculous. His value isn't higher than that of Nyquist, Coyle, or Zuccarello from last season. What do you think Coleman can get NJ?

Charlie Coyle is the only one that is comparable as the other two were in the last year of their respective deals heading into UFA. Coyle was also struggling in Minnesota and Coleman is on pace for 30 non power play goals currently and is an extremely effective penalty killer. Saying nothing about the value in this trade because I have no clue who the prospects involved are, I would say getting a year and a half with two playoff runs out of someone with the production of Coleman at his cap hit is incredibly valuable and worth at least a 1st and some other prospects.

to be completely fair back to back 20 goal seasons making 1.8 million plus an extra year is stupid good.

I don't see the point of everyone wanting Kovalchuk when they could've signed him for 700K a month ago lol
Now you need to pay to get

Because teams didn't know what they'd get, he's shown he can still produce at a high level thus far into his MTL tenure

There is no way an extra season of control gives him the same value as players like Duchene and Hayes. He'd be a great add but any payment that starts with a 1st is an overpay.

That's all well and good, but why would nsh want to add an underachieving forward at $4m+ for next year? They don't want to add that kind of cap in bad players. You can't just offload your bad contracts for players that you want. Doesn't work like that. They would rather just picks than this deal - "so"

I can't really see how he's underachieving having not played since god knows when lol. He's a big body C which is great for the central division.
Throw him in the top 6 and he'll score 40 points easily at 4M, that's not bad.

Would you rather let Granlund walk? Cause I highly doubt they're going to try to retain him, why not get a C back plus a pick for someone you know isn't going to play for you next year?
Also, "bad cap bad players" nonsense, Granlund makes almost 6M this year and is producing like a 4th liner, "so"

Good trade with the Oilers. Khaira looked so promising 2 years ago, but hasn't shown consistency since. Change of scenery could be good for him. Wouldn't hurt to run Galchanyuk on the 2nd or 3rd line wing to see if he can recapture some of his offensive abilities.

Hayes was like 30 games plus playoffs and Duchene got some good prospects as well as the 1st for a similar amount of time. I think a 1st for a pleyer who will be the best PK player on your team, be able to score 20+ goals (with none on the PP) at less than a million this year (adjusted for games played) and 1.8 million next year is very fair.

Sounds like you'd be better off with Bjugstad then lol and where do you see him playing C in the top 6 on NSH with Duchene and Johansen? Or even bottom 6 with Bonino, Turris, Jarnkrok, and Sissons? He's not a fit on NSH and they certainly don't want or need him next season.

Edmonton's 2020 3rd is spoken for: they're going to have to send it CGY due to the conditions in the Real Deal James Neal Steal.

Khaira + 4th?

We have good chemistry without him and he doesn't fit the way we've been playing.

He's got only one 20 goal season and you're right, constantly injured right now. I don't see teams lining up for that. I could see galchenyuk-granlund, UFA for UFA, as a more likely deal - but still not sure NSH would want that. I bet they just trade him for picks if they do

I'd do Granlund for Gally too, I highly doubt the Pens make any moves other than maybe 13th F and 7th D type moves.
They want to replace Guentzels scoring but that's not going to come cheap
