The funny thing is the actual value when you you add in age, contracts coming up, injury history that they are probably pretty close in value. But unfortunately Gallagher is the hear and sole of the habs and they wouldn't trade him in general and definitely not for equal value.

Edmonton would be stupid to do the Habs trade.

I'm prepared for an onslaught of hate from Habs fans but Gallagher has a year and a half left before UFA, Nurse is an RFA, it's just not worth the risk of losing a valuable asset for 1.5 seasons of a guy. There's no guarantee Gallagher would want to sign in Edmonton so essentially they'd have to trade him at next TDL if they wanted to recoup some assets, that'd be one of the most moronic trades of all time, Chiarelliesque even.

Gallagher would be great for the Oilers but he's not a fit in a Nurse trade.

I'll add this, if Gallagher was made available there's not a team in the league that wouldn't be interested so it would take more than Nurse to get him and you'd have to be very confident in your resigning ability cause when he hits FA he'll have his pick of contenders

Do you really think CBJ would accept Larsson for Jones??????? You realize Seth Jones is one of the top D in the league right. I doubt they would take Draisaitl for Jones, let alone Larsson
