Description

Laine and Point are probably going to make similar money. TBL already has a top-flight centre, and now Laine gets to put up big numbers alongside Stamkos and Kucherov.

Point comes to WPG and becomes the new #1 centre. WPG signs him to a 3-year bridge, and when that expires they have almost all of their current deals off the books. This lets him cash in big in 3 years, and lets the Jets build around him.

Pick swap represents the slight difference in these players value, in my opinion, but I'm sure one of the first comments I'll see is "Point is worth way more than Laine" or "Laine and picks??" or some variant thereof.
