So After Hollands first big trade this offseason with the lucic for neal deal.. looks solid for the oilers but yet they are retaining $750 k rip and giving away a conditional 3rd...

Anyways Holland makes another trade a guy to can potentially score 30 goals with McDavid or Draisaitl, along with Nugent-hopkins! And Sam Gagner who will have a new start with a new team, looks dumb, but atleast they get a 3rd and 4th lol

Why would Edm give up a 1st and 3rd for Anderson who is a UFA this coming season?
Rather add a 2nd and Sam Gagner...

Plus if oilers do bad again most likely, we practically gave up a top 10 pick for a 3rd liner on a contending team...

Anderson's very good. Close to 50-point winger with size and grit. Under an extremely affordable contract. Players like those are golden and of extreme high value. An AHL level player and low picks won't be even close.

Lol if I were EDM I'd reconsider it... is it really worth to pay that much for one year of Anderson? It's not likely that he'd re-sign.

Ofc the fact that he's RFA after his contract expires is something to note as well.

Couple of 2nds plus a decent prospect or decent second liner who can slot in on the right or at centre are about fair for Anderson.

Other option is a 2nd plus a really good prospect.

They're going to struggle at centre, so a couple of decent prospects at C & RW ready to crack the big league plus picks might also do it.

Whichever way, that deal is nowhere near enough.

This made me laugh. As an Oilers fan I'd do this all day every day of course, but there's no way Columbus does this. It's not close... and Gagner isn't fast.
