Bridge deal 3 yrs at 6 mill. If there is any absolute genius on CF that can get Toronto players signed under salary cap and hold a decent team I'll delete this. If Marner gets more than Kucherov that will be laughable.

It's not. It's just realistic. Best scorer of the team, and there are already two comparisons getting $11M or more. Marner will definitely use these contracts as a comparison to get a better deal.

At this point, all contracts below $9M are big wins for TOR, and also big discounts from Marner.

I have Marner a 3 year deal at $9M AAV and still made it work under the cap with a competitive team lol.. so it can be done

I'll never understand the logic that because Marner is the best scorer on his team (the Leafs) he is entitled to 11m. But they logic there should be 31 players making 11m next season. Next season McDavid, Doughty Tavares and overpaid Matthews and maybe Karlsson makes 11, Hard to to present an argument that Marner is the third best player in the league
