Alzner play in the AHL actually.
Price is better since Webber return. And will be better again if Bergevin find a first pair lefty defenseman.
Price statistics is a direct result of is bad defense. Specially on the left side.
But, of course, that still a personnal opinion.

Quick's contract is very reasonable. His injury issues are overexaggerated and he's still on top of his game when he's healthy. It's certainly better than contracts like Hellebuyck and Rask that haven't had nearly the success that Quick has had, yet have longer and more expensive contracts.

Phaneuf's contract is easily the worst one on the Kings, especially since it's buyout proof because of recapture and because he has a full NMC that prevents the Kings from assigning him to the AHL. Unless he's injured, he has to be one of the Kings' 7 defensemen for the next 3 years.

pretty sure if price had hit FA 2 seasons ago, he would me easily making more then 10.5 ri now. imagine a goalie of his caliber hits the market. i can name you at least 10 teams lining up to pay him big bucks. as for worst contract on mtl, its easily alzner.

If we can’t even pay the best goalie in the league 10.5M dollars than no goalie is going to get paid anything in this league. Karl Alzer pretty sure 4.1M dollars and playing in the minors is much worst than paying the best goalie in the league 10.5M

You can't say LTIR players hurt the cap. Leafs are ever grateful that they were able to trade for Horton and take his uninsured contract for the Clarkson's contract. At the time Clarkson was not on LTIR. and was a cap hit anchor.

I gotta think players that are buried on the minors and cost the team cap are the worse contracts , along with long term retentions such as Kessel's 1.2m paid by the Leafs.

IMO Perreault is not a bad contract, he is worth about a 2nd and mid pick

Tom Wilson is over a point per game and in the top 10 in g/60? You could argue that he’s a steal at that cost.....? I’d say bura at 3 million but again the narrative is that Wilson isn’t good or overpaid but he’s been one of the best players on our team

Alzner's contract is definitely bad but it's only 3.5 more seasons.

Weber is playing up to his contract currently but it's until he's old by hockey standards. He'll eventually not be worth it but it isn't bad right now.

Price is getting 10.5M for another 7.5 seasons and has a sv% of around .902 over the last 80 games played. If he can get back to the .93-.92 area it isn't a huge overpayment. This contract also takes him past 38 years old. In 6 years the cap may be up there by a good amount but that's still alot to tie up in a goaltender that's had durability issues in the past and hasn't played well over the last 1.5 seasons. I don't think he would've gotten this contract on the open market. People forget that this is the first year of his contract. He played 49 games with a sv% of .900 last season. This would've brought down his earnings some
