Experimenting with Next Year
Not trying to be a dick but wow... that MIN trade is bad. Right now Boone is for sure more valuable than Fiala. Plus this would be a bad leadership move.
I dont hate the MTL trade and I like Juulsen but the injuries concern me. I dont think Hudon and a second is enough to downgrade from Murr to Juulsen right now, but honestly this trade could go either way.
The TOR trade...right now I think Nutis worth to CBJ is more than a second

Hall and Stepan
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>see this is where you and I disagree. Because the way I see the NHL moving forward is less teams putting themselves in future cap problems. Putting contracts out to 33 and that's it.
They will deal with it then. As the NHL gets younger and younger you can expect that trend to follow.</div></div>
I see your point, butnif you dont give hall more than 5 years, at least 20 teams will be lining up to give him 7

Hall would never take 5 years. Much better to overpay for a star player than to not have him at all.

We dont have to give up good stuff for Turris. Nashville wants him gone.
Also Korpi to Jake Allen is a straight downgrade and we get older and we take on more cap. Not worth the upgrade from a 4th to a 3rd and 5th.

Columbus with huge cap space
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DiehardRedWingsFan58</b></div><div>No way in hell is Zach Werenski signing no 8 year deal with Columbus, He's stated numerous times on his twitter account. Of wanting to come home to Detroit and play with his buddy Dylan Larkin. He'll sign a 5 year deal and head to free agency more then likely. And i doubt you'd get him for 8 years under $7.5 million per.</div></div>
Dude Zach is probably going to Detroit when hes a UFA but quit ****ing spreading lies. Hes never said he outright he wants to go to Detroit. He has never since being drafted said that. Jesus.

Columbus laughs and hangs up the phone. Rask is bad.

CLB MTL CGY Three-way plus CAR deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vanderm</b></div><div>CLB is getting an important middle 6 center out of this deal. With Duchene likely heading for bigger money elsewhere, I think this is a smart long-term play. I doubt other teams would pay that same price for Anderson on the open-market. He's a great player, but Jankowski is developing really well and is already a strong 3C, with potential to develop into a shutdown 2C.
Jarmo would definitely think about it.</div></div>
Sorry dude, Jarmo would laugh and hang up. Anderson's still an RFA that is great in all ends, is for sure a leader type, plays special teams, plays super physical, and will still score 25-30 goals. Hes worth way more than Jank (who let's face it, isnt that good) and a second and fourth.

Off topic, but man i really feel like we are going to sign Dzingel to a deal that will loom like a steal. Hed be smart to take something like 5x5ish. Hes a late bloomer and when Panarin leaves will prolly be our 1LW and I'd bet hes gonna be a consistant ~60 point scorer

Honestly I wouldnt even do Abramov for Coyle. I love Coyle as a target, but Abramov has been on fire lately and another year in the AHL could do wonders for him. He has super high upside

Remaining optimistic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>If they knew they could get him to sign why not just wait and do it July 1st?</div></div>
Because maybe they dont know if they can get him? If they call CBJ and get permission to speak with him and say, "hey Bob, if we traded for you would you be willing to sign an extension?" If he says yes then they should trade for him to get it done.
If they're given permission to speak extension depending on a trade, they're not allowed to say "hey Bob were gonna trade for ya if you want to extend here, but let us know if you want to come here anyways so we dont have to give anything up"

Once again, making invalid points. I said they would absolutely trade for him if they knew they could get him to sign. Never did I say they would compete for him this year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>Why would they?</div></div>
Because they would be a playoff team with competent goaltending? Or they can just let him reach FA and see another team scoop him up then just spend more years wondering why they have such a lethal offense that cant get to the playoffs because the goaltending is so bad.
My values may have been off but once again you're wrong if you dont think they wont give up something to get him this year

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>staytru20</b></div><div>Just an FYI, I don't think TBL can trade their 2019 1st since it's a conditional pick that would be sent to the Rangers if TBL wins the Cup. Which will probably happen if you send them Panarin, so plz no.</div></div>
I wonder if theres a condition that says we get their 2019 first if they dont win the cup, and their 2020 first if they do. I've seen tons of TBL fans say they shouldnt give up much since they're so stacked, but I think since they're stacked they should give up stuff for him before they have to start selling off good players.
Also, does anyone know if theres a condition where we get can get a player after the year ends? Like zayn we get Raddysh, Volkov, and a 2019 or 2020 first under the condition they get panarin and we also get JT miller after the season ends.. not saying it should happen I'm just curious if it can

Package may be off but I do think if Edmonton wants to seriously rebuild they need to send off either Nuge or Drai for cheaper, good roster players

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>I really doubt Florida management truly wants Bob....a declining goalie at age 30 for eight years, especially when they two mid expensive goalies signed long term.
IMO it's a CapFriendly rumour and CBJ fansespecially make these trades. It's similar to when we see all these non sensical Fowler to Montreal trades. Fowler who has a four team "trade me to" list. Yea, I'm sure Montreal makes the the top four.
90% of all posted UFA trades are widely overpaid by the buying team. It's a short half season rental but so many make the trades as if the UFA has three years of term.</div></div>
This isn't a capfriendy rumor. Multiple reporters have stated this. I know Florida isnt going to be a playoff team this year, but swapping UFAs and giving us a couple picks (not a first) and a prospect (not tjpett, borgstrom or denisenko) for a confirmed Bob is totally worth it. Hes only playing bad this year due to the mental thing. He sucked last time there was a contract issue
