This is a list of players/picks that interest me from ARI.
If something can be built out of this, great. If not, no hard feelings.
**I'm not asking for "ALL" of these, simply listing what I have an interest in building around....
'19 1st (obvious as everyone asks for these)
'20 3rd (CGY) why not try and get it back
Will Butcher
Devin Shore
Max Domi
Brandon Hickey
Brayden Burke
Jakob Chychrun (you've said no to him in the past, but again this is just for interest purposes)
We can obviously discuss numerous mix & match ideas based off that list as long as you are OK with who/what's on it to build from.
not my fault lol. Manson is way better than Krug imo. If people see them as equal that's their opinion. The stats would greatly suggest otherwise. Plus Manson is locked in for longer than Krug with a lower cap hit.

Domi + Shore + Hickey + 2020 3rd CGY for Krug + Gemel Smith.
Sorry, that just doesn't make any sense for me.
You have to understand Gagner is in the minors, but not just any minors, he's in the AHL of a team he's not even under contract to.
Which tells me even the team that's paying him, doesn't want him. So his value is pretty low right now.
Vancouver is paying him $3.1M to play for Toronto's farm team...not even their own AHL team.
That's where I'm really hesitant, even though I admit, I did try to take him off your hands a couple times before,
but now for me to take on that big of cap hit, I'd really need something sweet in the deal to make me want to do it.

It appears you don't have the cap space t take on Backlund at this time...unless there's something I'm over looking.
And I only say that because I'm not going to take back enough bad contracts to make it work...unless it comes at a premium reward to me for doing so.

Seabrook isn't a bad contract yet, he is still an elite defenceman (but he carries a big price tag)

Counting 2018/19, that's 4 years of not being able to move him again after acquiring him. So yeah, that is the definition of a "bad contract".
I mean he will turn 37 at the end of the NMC phase, so I'm sure there will be high demand for a 37yr old Dman being paid $6.875M for another 2 years after that.
But I'm always open to discussion, so I'd be happy to take him off your hands, I just doubt you're actually prepared to pay the price for that to happen....cause it wouldn't be cheap.
