From NHL.com themselves saying its expecting bw 78-82m.....If the NHLPA doesn't trigger any growth factor, the cap is projected to rise to $78 million. So 78 is the min as you quote, but 82 is the high if they do trigger it. Its called google, you can easily fact check this stuff

Apparently the smuck that said it was Gary Bettman who said the cap would go up to 80 to 82m. I think 80m might be about tops.
