I find these hilarious. It's just the fact that they think an average player playing for them is better than an average player playing for someone else that makes me laugh about this. That coupled with the fact that they see themselves as winners instead of a team that hasn't made the cup finals in 23 years is why they are dislikable. They all live in the past and that's probably why they have the worst future. I don't see a team in the NHL with less value. Weber and Price are good players, but man the term on their contracts are insane, that's gotta lessen their appeal to most GM's and Owners. Pacioretty is having a poor year for him and Galchenyuk never became a #1 C. Plekanek is almost totally done. Drouin is solid, but he'll end up being much worse than the player he was 1 for 1'd with. Theres just not much talent or quality to find in here.
The most messed up view about this is that I'm a Boston Bruins fan and the guy I see being the most likable guy / best asset on their squad is Gallagher.... and he trolls us. I'm pretty good at separating attempting to be a GM from my love of the Bruins while on here. He's not incredibly hyped up and overrated. He does a lot of things well including scoring, getting under the other teams skin, drawing penalties, making sure his teammates are engaged in the game and being a leader / always giving effort every game. He's signed at a good number for a good term. It's just comical that MTL has run their organization so poorly that a Bruins fan is able to think good thoughts about their biggest agitator. The biggest worry for me is if Montreal vs Boston will even be a rivalry anymore if they drop as much as I think they are going to. It'd be sad if playing vs Montreal just became a scheduled win instead of the type of game you really want to have tickets for.
