Maybe, but Cap space is still worth something the Chicago knows that. They'll need a sweetener to take on his $$.

Carter has a NMC. So he can't be placed on waivers. Only way to move him out is if he agrees to be traded. And Hawks aren't taking anybody's cap dumps for free. Hawks don't take him less than a 3rd at this point.
