If Calgary can't agree with Hanifin on an extension, I can see them exchanging him for Nylander straight up. I don't think that the Flames would give you the first and Vladar, too. (They might give you Vladar.)

Take out the draft pick that's only 8 slots behind the Boston first and San Jose would probably say Yes.

Arizona wants a Horvat-like return for Schmaltz -- a current first, a roster player and an A prospect. Muzzin is a non-playing LTIR list occupant and Robertson is far from an A prospect. And that's if you still have the Boston first, or acquire another (which won't be Calgary's).

Calgary would be far better off just acquiring Schmaltz from Arizona in this scenario.. rather than overpaying for one year of Nylander.
