It's appropriately too much/high. Hawks aren't force to move him and they saw what Jeannot received at the TDL. If any team is looking for a move prior to the Hawks finding out what they can get at the TDL...it's a move understanding that the acquiring team should be able to get that too and willing to match it.

Worst thing that could happen is TRad gets traded today and then flipped at the TDL for a haul more. Hawks can't afford that look because they can just wait.

But as Exo said above, the offer would have to be outstanding in the Hawks favor to get them to trade him before the TDL...

I think using the Jeannot deal as an example is a bad one. It was such a bad trade for Tampa and I bet most other GM's will be awfully cautious to give up major assets for a 3rd line grinder.

It's just that it did occur and those players and contracts are very similar. It would be awful for the Hawks of the acquiring team flipped him for more.
