-Compher or Domi signed as 1C at 5 mil.
Buddy Robinson is a leader in Rockford and played well in his time with the Hawks. Seems like Davidson rewards those that work hard and are leaders in the lockeroom (i.e. Tinordi).
-Buffalo gets cheap solid fourth liner and save some cap. Comrie isnt very good and will be 3rd string goalie in case Petr "my bones are made of glass" Mrazek inevitably gets injured.
-Montreal fans are obsessed with trading us Hoffman (usually for free which wont happen), what if the Hawks took another cap dump? Dvorak is from Illinois, has a couple more years left on his contract, and can move up the lineup after the trade deadline. Zaitsev cost a 2nd and 4th to move at the same cap hit with only a year left, Mysak who is a struggling second round pick and third round pick is a fair price to pay for dump.
-WSH clears cap. Mantha is younger has a higher upside which is why the caps are paying less. Caps fans said a second is too much and Hawks fans said a fourth was too little so a late third is a good place to meet in the middle.
-Edmonton takes a gamble on a local kid that doesnt have the trust of the new coach. Hawks get a player from AK Bars Kazan to further entice Safonov to come over to NA with his buddy.
-Fully expect the Hawks to pick in the 3-5 range. If the Hawks pick third (assuming the picks are bedard/Fantilli) then the Hawks should absolutely take Michkov. If they pick 4th/5th and Michkov is gone, Will Smith is the next best option imo. Not a huge fan of Leo Carlsson, and seems like many other people arent either, and would rather wait a handful of years for superior talent in Michkov.
