Maybe if Yzerman needs players for Grand Rapids.

-I cannot see Buffalo giving up a hometown boy who wants to play for their team for 2 years of Nylander and a terrible goalie. Pass for the Sabres.

-Big no from the Islanders. I'm not even going to talk about the players themselves - just that you have the Islanders taking in $11.125M in salary and sending out $3.95 - so basically they take on an extra $7M in cap while not really getting all that much better - Kerfoot is better than Cizikas, but Mayfield is better than Holl, so those 4 are basically a wash; so basically the Isles are adding $7M in cap for the privilege to make 33 year old Jake Muzzin their LD2. Easy pass.

-Simmonds probably gets -something- back for his leadership/exeprience but Clifford is an AHLer at this point.
