Description

Montreal selects Wright in the 2022 draft 1st overall and then we sign roster players to play next season and then trade are pending UFAs (if they are not signed by the 2023 TDL). We are not tanking for Bedard but we might still select in the Top 10 and then the 2023-24 season is the year we start trying to make the postseason

- Coyotes trade for Weber’s contract along with a prospect to acquire our own 2nd in 2024 that we traded to ARI in the Dvorak trade
- Armia along with a 2024 4th gets traded to Columbus for future considerations
- Drouin to whoever for a late 1st/2nd at the TDL if he plays well

Devils shouldn't be looking to move Tatar for Hoffman with extra sides mixed in. At least the Tatar deal is over soon. Hoffman isn't worth the $4.5, so why bother adding him for the 2nd year.

Tatar is also playing on a line with Slafkovsky right now…so he may have some duties off the ice if we take Slaf (or Nemec).
