Let’s just say for a second, that Weber doesn’t actually want his money and he decides to just flat out retire this upcoming offseason. Here’s what I would go with, assuming we re-signed Forsberg (which if trade him tbh but this is to go with worst case cap crunch).

Year 1) easy to navigate, could re-sign Kunin but that’d just complicate the next year. Cut the cord now. We aren’t paying anyone to take Duchene or Joey and if they continue to bounce back we’d be better off keeping them. Trade Kunin and put tomasino on line 2.

Year 2) things get tricky here. Would be best to move on from the worst of the young rhd which right now would be Myers from there should be able to fit all the rfas and a couple cheap replacement level players or ahl graduates

Year 3) one heck of a wild card with that group of Rfas.
Last year of joeys contract and buying him out would save about 5 mil. If him and Duchene bounce back, we could move on from one of them and let another player move up. If they haven’t bounced back, Joey gets bought out. That’s assuming we get desperate for capspace.

Anyways, just going through the exercise to show this is not a show stopper for Nashville and we don’t have to make some sort of stupid desperation move

1st and 2nd lines spread out established talent with youngsters
3rd line is sort of herd line reimagined
4th line is all youngsters and would be sheltered similar to what we are doing now with cousins Novak tomasino (trenin being the vet if the group here)
