Anderson will cost your team
In the last 100 Avalanche AGMs, there has been 1 Josh Anderson trade. Who exactly are you talking to here?
For comparison, there have been 3 Drouin trades.

<a href="/users/Pond_Duck" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Pond_Duck</a> I think this is a bit of an overreaction. There was no preseason. Yeah, they should have their legs under them but let's not press the "blow it up" button just yet. As for Byram, we won't know for sure until he plays a bit more. Not everyone comes into the league as Makar did...</div></div>

Kadri Needs To Go

O I'm definitely frustrated. There have been a number of guys who need to show up: Kadri, Saad, Compher, and Donskoi. They've all been invisible, and that's not acceptable. If in 2-3 weeks time, we're saying the same thing, then yes. It'll be time to do something about it. I really wish we could get Kaut into the lineup somewhere. He'd be an upgrade over Donskoi.

Pondering the offseason
Nice job with the contracts to make capspace literally ZERO. :tearsofjoy
Some pretty optimistic contracts here btw.
And lastly, there is no need to trade anything of value, let alone Kaut, to entice Seattle to pick Donskoi. They'll have their choice of Graves/Donskoi/Compher/Jost/Francouz/Saad(ufa) and whoever they take is hardly going to be an issue the way this team is set up.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>Probably not. Why waste a year of his ELC if he has to play the role of 6th D in that dynasty roster.
I'd personally bring him in in 2021-22</div></div>
There is no benefit of him in the whl, that doesn’t help his development,
If he beats out ian cole for the 6th Spot, let him play. They brought him into the bubble in the playoffs, the coaching staff has a pretty good idea what they have in him right now, ice your best roster possible and that’s with byram

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BlastnyFromThePastny</b></div><div>Well that rhymes, so it must be true haha. In all seriousness though, my opinion and bias may change over the next year, but Graves is much bigger, a bit cheaper, a bit younger and plays really well with Makar. So until I am convinced otherwise or until the expansion comes around and it turns out you're right, I'll be on the Graves side of things.</div></div>
I think you will be shocked at how good toews is. He is a much better dman than graves.
I don’t see how Sakic invests 2 2nd round picks in a trade just to let them he selected a year later
Toews will be protected

Taylor Hall signs for 3 years - 2020-21
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HurricanesMan</b></div><div>Taylor Hall isn't worth 12 million, I don't care about the FA tax.
Also, yet another team that thinks it's a good idea to load up on 3-5 great players, neglecting the rest of the roster</div></div>
Read the description. I am simply TESTING THE FEASIBILITY of this, and NOT saying that he is necessarily worth $12m.
I'm actually quite leery of signing Hall, given that he only has 3 55 point seasons in 10 years, and seems to be a bit of a lockerroom cancer given how bad all his teams have tended to trend when he's joined them (minus one 93 point season).
As for your other point, the roster depth here isn't really neglected. It's actually still quite strong. And there's $2.27m in capspace to be able to upgrade an ELC to a $3m player or to make a splash at the deadline.

JVR for Johnson - COL side
I actually was a proponent of the Avs signing JVR when he was FA. I was wrong then. Not because JVR isn’t a quality player, it’s that stylistically it’s a very poor fit. COL is the highest scoring team in the NHL off the rush and in transition. The premium by Avs management has been on skating and speed to play in transition, and this is arguably JVR’s weakest aspect. If the cap was 5-10M more and the roster sizes were bigger sure I’d love to have him as a spot specialist on PP and offensively critical draws because he is great in the slot and at the goal mouth, but there isn’t. And so I think Colorado says no to that deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KakkoForMauriceRichardAward</b></div><div>I'd do something like this: Jost, Bowers and a 2021 3rd rounder for Labanc</div></div>
That would be an unnecessary overpayment. If San José are asking for that return then I would rather offersheet him and just give up a late 1st + 3rd, because Jost and Bowers are worth more to Colorado than a late 1st in 2020. A trade is the best option though.

they dont have any interest in Cozens or Krebs and arent going to take Byram from the latest BSN podcast. If Turcotte is picked, its down to 3 guys. Dach, Zegras, and dark horse is Boldy

I think you don't need to give Timmins. Barrie VS Subban. NSH already save money. They have similar stats. You can add a 3rd round or rights to Andrighetto, something like that.

Jost will be giving a real shot at 2C this year, it seems to be what their plan is. He has shown improvement and growth throughout the season. Guys a very smart hockey player and processes the game well, Let him play with one of Landeskog or Rants instead of Gabe Bourque and Matt Nieto, he will surprise a few guys.
I do agree, Kerfoot is better suited as a winger on this team. They do have a back up plan at 2C already on the roster, Soderberg. He was basically defecto that last year with ice time but played with 3rd lien wingers.

I dont see any real scenario that Avs would move the 4th or 16th overall pick unless they are trading for a 24-25 year old Forward with Term left on their contract. This whole Avs need Depth scoring is a very lazy take. They were a Top 10 offence in the league last year (Goals For) and one of the youngest rosters in the NHL. They have depth and youth, you will get better depth with some players with natural growth and progression based on their age and add one guy in UFA.
Some guys on here at acting like they have to move heaven and earth of assets/projects/picks to "build a second line" or "improve their secondary scoring"

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ragsandbluesfan</b></div><div>Kerfoot is your best defensive forward and is at a top 6 level offensively why would they let him walk?</div></div>
Best defensive forward is quite the stretch. That'd be Soderberg or Calvert. As to top 6 offensively, the kid literally never shoots. There could be a wide open net and he'll opt to pass it. If you can put the proper talent around him, sure he looks like a mid-6 forward, but I think he's more of a poor man's top 6 forward. Still wouldn't let him walk, but I think they can do better in the top 6.
