Jesus Christ!!! I hope we can get half of that value for Domi! I really don't think he's worth a 1st AND mittelstadt...

What do we do now
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>newballcoach</b></div><div>If his stats are similar to or better then Prices, maybe you should ask yourself if Montreal has a "real" starter?
Even if Colorado wanted an upgrade in goal you a) didn't give them one (and left them with a huge hole instead) and b) gave them a terrible return for their current #1 guy. You know nothing about the guy and just traded two bottom-6 forwards for him. Not happening.</div></div>
This is great info! Thanks NewballCoach

I haven't watched a lot of Colorado games but I felt like they wanted to find a real starter. So I get he might be better than a backup but is he a real starter?

Habs Trade Thoughts
Petry is not a defensive guy...... I doubt Colorado is interested in him but I could see them being interested in Tatar

Montreal Canadiens - CGY EDM TOR PIT
Do you know by doing this next year we will be at the bottom of the league with Price and Weber over 32........
VAN would not trade a 3rd round pick for Scandella who is UFA this year.
Pittsburgh does not have the cap to sign Gallagher next year and didn't your learn that Galchenyuk is not a good fit in MTL.
Even if you retain salary Toronto is in cap hell. They simply do not have the cap space for Petry AND Brodie.
Edmonton has a very good top 6 now. They need defense. It would make no sense to trade Nurse.
I doubt Tatar is worth Brodie, a first and a second.

Oilers user posted similar trade but with Chicago
Nurse is a pillar for EDM so I don't see them trading him. Also, MB traded Reilly cause he wanted to open up a spot for maybe Romanov next year. HE took Scandella because he's UFA this summer and if Romanov does not come over he can resign him cheap.

Friedman said that he could get a bit more than what Muzzin got the Kings..... Petry is very good offensively but has some trouble in his zone.. I don't think Toronto needs him

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Cheddamonkey37</b></div><div>Flyers say no</div></div>
The value might not be very good but neither is ghost as of now. Healthy scratched for the third game now..... The only upside is his contract but then again if he does not pick up his game 4.5 is too much for a 30 pts defenseman with +/- of -20. Depends on what Philly is asking but I would switch Reilly for another bottom 6 forward since they already have a surplus of d-man. Byron adds speed to a team who would benefit from that. That's just my opinion tho.

Byron to Edmonton
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KCarry74</b></div><div>Maybe by TDL if Edmonton is still in the top of the league and Montreal are way out of playoff, Byron and a 2nd (32-40) vs 1st (24-31) is an option. But as F50Marco mentionned it, they would definitively do 2nd and 3rd before this</div></div>
yeah like I said I'm okay with getting a 2nd and a 3rd for Byron. I feel like it would still be good for both teams.

Byron to Edmonton
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>Let's just assume the value is equal, just because you add quantity to a deal doesn't necessarily get you quality in return. For example, EDM would be wayyy more interested in giving up a 2nd and a 3rd (If they were interested in doing that based on what you said) for Byron than giving up a 1st but getting a 3rd back.</div></div>
I believe edmonton could make the playoffs this years so it wouldn't be a high 1st rounder. Maybe if it's conditional (lottery protected) ?

Those trades are very smart Gm wise. Use the cap space as an asset to jumpstart the rebuild. I love those types of trade!

yeah good point
I guess it would have to start with a first but I doubt they trade if they are loosing a first since we have no guarantee we will be in a playoff spot. Alzner said if he didn't play in Mtl he was not going back to the AHL.... so I guess it would be a buyout.

Yeah but Marleau was a buyout and a 6M$ cap hit. Alzner is at 4.5 and he could actually play.

I feel that too but I mean they are veryyy deep at defense. Faulk could end up on the third pairing and with young guys pushing I feel like he could get traded. And a first rounder for Faulk is very good imo

I hope you realize laine won’t be going anywhere unless the package offered for him is ridiculous and makes wpg say yes.
You have to take in the fact that risto is on a very friendly deal..... I Would understand taking out the 2nd from winnipeg but adding Cozens??? Dude If big Buff doesn't come back their defense is veryyyy veryyy weak.... Morrissey did a good job last year but if he becomes d-man #1 without any support he could have a bad year. Don't matter how they get one they need to get a d-man
