"Stacked", they haven't won a round since winning the Cup. They're one of the oldest teams and their prospect pool is weak.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>Worst Take in NHL history lul
Dubas as GM has done so much good for this team
Traded for Muzzin improving the defense
Traded for Campbell who know is the starter
Got rid of the Zaitsev and Marleau contracts that LOU signed
Got rid of Johnsson without a sweetener or retention and got a nice defensive prospect in Anderson whose on a cheap 750k deal
Got a good return for Kapenan and now we got Amirov
Brought in Brodie, Tavares, Spezza among others
Drafted Sandin, Robertson, Niemela, Hirovinen among others and made our prospect pool go from **** top being between 10-15th in the NHL.
So yeah worst GM ever my ass lul</div></div>
And what does he have to show for all that ? We haven’t won ANYTHING!!!!! 1st and a 4th for Foligno what about the kadri trade ? And overpaying the core horribly. If you need a Gm that will ensure you get bounced in the first round in heartbreaking fashion hes you’re guy. Giving up assets to protect a team that blew a 3-1 like ffs

I mean he’s suspended from international play due to all of his coke usage. Bringing that to a locker room full of kids in a city with a massive night life presence is just asking for trouble. Hard pass

To think wild would even add s even more laughable
Joel Eriksson Ek is untouchable & going nowhere
Minnesota doesn't have to gamble? You mean a player who has / was suspended from international play for steroids?
Player who was caught on tape using crack?
Player who was suspended this year for not following covid protocols ?
Same player Washington wants to trade because he missed 2 months with not following covid protocols, & got sick with covid?
1st time: missed 1 month
2nd time in covid protocols: missed covid protocols including missing playoff game
You aren't living in facing reality. He's not worth Jack squat especially Joel Eriksson Ek

They signed athanasiou and traded for maata last season - the kings lack high end talent right now, free agency isn’t going to help them much. The only move that makes sense to accelerate the rebuild is trading for Eichel - if not it just makes sense to stay patient because in 3-4 years the kings could be a top 3 team in the league

Dude you’re digging yourself into a hole again…
If you just admit that you were unaware of the retention, then no problem. But you’re dying on this hill that pens overpaid and Carter was washed up and those two statements are so wrong. Even on LA he was on pace for nearly 20 goals and 40 points playing with zero help. That type of production for a 3rd and 4th at 2.5 million is good value lol

It was a terrible trade at the time. It's worked out in the early days thus far no doubt, but this wasn't a good deal.</div></div>
A terrible trade? He was on pace for nearly 40 points and 20 goals on a terrible kings trade, and pens only gave up a third for 50% retention. It was a great deal for pit. You were wrong, and you won’t own up to it. Even if Carter **didn’t** work out in pit, all we gave up was a 3rd round pick. That’s far from the “worst” trade at deadline lol. Even if he stunk (which he absolutely hasn’t), it’s still not that bad of a trade since the cost was so low

He’s playing on a second line with Zucker and McCann, and that line is dominating possession / scoring chances when they are on the ice. His analytics were not terrible on LA, (but they weren’t great either) and his most frequent line mates was like AA.
You called the Carter trade a “terrible trade” and “the worst of the deadline”. Meanwhile he’s fit like a glove on pit and has given us the opportunity to run a really strong 3rd line when healthy. Your take couldn’t have been more wrong.

Keeping an aging Dman who has been injury prone these last 2 seasons in order to lose a younger Dman who has shown he can play top 4 and has chemistry with Marino is pure insanity. Dumoulin only has 2 years left, Petterson has 3 and will be 27 at the deals end.
Would rather go younger than keep an aging guy as the penguins need to start the process of rebuilding soon as Crosby and Malkin aint getting any younger.</div></div>
So using that same logic, would you also protect Blueger over Malkin
Dumo is a way better player and Pens are in win now mode, so losing Dumo makes zero sense

Colorado does not look at this because of the value of Byram's contract, both the cost of the contract as well as the fact that he does not need to be protected in the expansion draft. Colorado has roughly $25M in cap space next year, and will commit a huge chunk of it to Grubauer, Landy, Makar, etc etc. Re: Expansion, Colorado is already worried that if they go 7-3-1, the D protected will be Girard, Makar and Johnson. Unless they can swing a deal with Seattle, they will likely lose Towes. Finally, the Av's do not desperately need an elite goaltender. They currently have one. (They could use a decent back up).

You literally proved my point in this comment lol. Byram isn't even fully developed. Dumba may already be past his prime and everyone knows the wild will have trouble keeping him due to the expansion draft. No one is going to pay a premium for him. Avs would regret this trade for the next decade.

Exactly. Not sure why hawks rate their guy so much who is hardly a top 6C on the hawks, who probably have the worst Centre’s in the NHL this year. Strome and McCann are similar in value and production, with Strome having more offensive talent, but a total train wreck defensively. Over the last 2 seasons:
McCann 0.54PPG
Strome: 0.59PPG
Strome’s first year in Chicago really distorted his value, but he won’t do that again. He’s come back down to reality
