Maybe the Sabres give Vsevolod Komarov a chance to develop.
Drafted the same year as Jiricek he is tearing it up with first place Drummondville,
He has 24 points in just 16 games.
Their leading scorer Wooworth has 52 pts in 45 games.
Vsevolod is the same size as Jiricek so who knows another Jerry Forton gem in the rough.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dopplsan</b></div><div>Let’s breathe on the Jiricek trades for a minute.
That being said, if he’s moved, it’s for another defense prospect. Preferably a RD.</div></div> <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BUFF36</b></div><div>Buffalo's 2nd, Savoie, McCarthy</div></div> Vsevolod Komarov is the Sabres best RHD.

If he is added Buffalo would drop any picks, as he appears to be the real deal.
On other hand, maybe Buffalo just waits until he NHL ready.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bricher33</b></div><div>I hate to say it but I think you might have it worse. I mean botrrel was a flipin mess. Jarmo can at least draft, JB can ummmmm.... sell RoR for a can of beans and a hat.</div></div> LOL!
So Jason drafted Casey, Dylan, Ryan, Matthias, Rasmus and traded for Jeff, Tage and Henri.
Our top three centers and four of our top five defensemen.
Opps, I forgot to add our #1 GK Luuķkonen!
Yet somehow you and others think he did nothing but trade a center who publicly stated he LOST HIS LOVE OF THE GAME!

Surely you jest!

<a href="/users/buff36" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@buff36</a> thanks for your comment on this.

Let me add, Adams has been GM a year longer than Botterill who has he added to the line up?
Quinn, Power, and Peterka.
Oh yes an overpaid Greenway (really a 2nd and 5th for him @ $3,000,000) and Robinson.
He over paid to sign both Bryson ($1,850,000 to play for Rochester) and Olofsson ($4,750,000 to sit in press box or on the bench).

Luukkonen, Ukko-Pekka &gt;&gt; Prosvetov, Ivan
Luukkonen has been brick wall in during the 8 games he has played in January posting a .944 SV% and 1.52 SV%.
Mittelstadt, Casey =&gt; Colton, Ross plus Wood, Miles
The balance:
Okposo, Kyle
Jokiharju, Henri
Krebs, Peyton
Kulich, Jiri
2024 2nd round pick (BUF) appears it will be in 40 OA or better.
Over all they have more value than
Byram, Bowen

Buffalo is trading the better center and GK, it's best forward prospect and an early 2nd for Colton who was just picked up for the 37th OA, Wood who essentially let go by the Devils, a sub NHL GK and a good LHD they do not need.
Byrum may be a good LHD but Buffalo has others better than he, while Buffalo has to trade its best RHD in the deal.
Buffalo would be adding at least a year to the rebuild if they made this trade, losing their best center, GK, prospect and RHD.
Horrible for the Sabres.
I understand that Wood and Colton are physical but Mittelstadt's offense would more than compensate.
Rip me apart if wish, I am done with this post.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Burnzie8_88_4Cup</b></div><div>Mitts is a good player, but there's no way anyone's giving up 2 1rst for him.</div></div>

Some okay moves here but I think the Sabres really need a goalie more then anything and some defensively strong bottom sixers more then anything else, like a two-way 3rd line and a physical, wear you down, heavy forechecking 4th line would make a big difference for this team.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sabres89</b></div><div>I can appreciate that, I'm not sure our gm watches our games to be honest, he seems pretty ok with whatever granato is telling him.</div></div>

Thank you all for great feedback.
While I like all the trades other ACGM's inspired the fist two.

Mitts could be traded just to make space next year.
If he is traded he will be traded for a player (s) who would fill holes in the line up, i.e. RHD.
We can discuss the pro's and con's of each trade but that could last until the TDL, so I will skip it.

While cap is always an issue with adding a player with a cap as Truba, but Casey's new contract and Clifton's current nearly equal his Cap next year.
The cap goes up $4,000,000, another $6,500,000 will be added if Girgensons, Okposo and Robinson are not signed enough to offer Quinn and Peterka nearly $6,500,000 each.
Trouba comes off the following year and Skinner's contract expires when Kulich, Savoie and Rosen ELC END.

OF COURSE, the devil is in the detail, but cap space is not an issue for several years.
