Sabres aren't trading for D-Lo. He's one of the worst players in the league. They especially aren't trading krebs or any pick for him.

I suppose its what value you think Krebs has and what BUF needs.

Krebs is having a pretty bad year and have a ton of young guys that need a spot (Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich could all replace Krebs).
BUF is a bit too soft and needs some size and physicality in the bottom of the lineup (Greenway isnt it and Okposo is expiring), and fighting alone isn;t what Deslauriers is good at IMO.
Ginning is a solid stay at home prospect, nice guy in 24-25 to be the callup or 8th dman, and exactly what BUF is lacking on defense.

Depends what you think BUF needs, they can all the shiney prospects they want, but at some point the team actually needs a different mix of players to be good. Krebs is a completely redundant piece and Deslauriers/Ginning are closer to what they lack IMO

Krebs might not have the production the sabres would want but he plays tough and is still an important part of the Sabres. In a trade, he doesn't hold the value to other teams so it doesn't make sense for the Sabres to move him. Sabres need a top 4 young shut down rhd but that's going to be with other players being moved.

D-Lo has been over if the worst forwards on the ice for the past few seasons. He's not a clear upgrade over anything the Sabres currently have.

Fyi, he's also a former Sabre so there's almost no chance of a reunion more than likely.

I'm pretty sure the flyers have been operating with the expectation Hart is done with the org for about a year now, Signing both Ersson and Kolosov, drafting Bjarnason and Zavragin with our 2nd round and 3rd round picks back-to-back. I'm 90% sure they are done with Hart

It's also been reported the Flyers are not budging on their asking price of a 1st for Walker

Why is everyone on this site OCD about having draft picks being identical in multiple years...

I wish the Sabres brought in Deslauriers, but the city, fan base, and franchise thinks being soft as microwaved butter is going to win them anything

laugh laugh Carter Hart is finished in Philly, You can't sign a player that's under criminal investigation. And since it looks like the trial won't be until 2026 he's basically going to rot for the next 2 years.

And for that low ball offer on Brett Pesce he would remain in Carolina. Try more like 7x7 for Pesce.

@Hammerwise
Nick may be one of the worse NHL forwards but adding him does add toughness to the team.
I would make that trade as a Sabre fan.
You are correct the sort of player Buffalo could use.

To think Tim Murray gave up two 2nds and McNabb for him and Fashings!
To think one of those seconds became Cernak.
McNabb alone would have been too much!

Memories! Imagine having McNabb and Cernak on the backend. TM made some wild one's. Didn't like the O'Reilly trade at the time either. Guy traded away all the complimentary players to get studs and had no one left to finish off his Team.

I don’t see us trading Krebs for futures
And we don’t need to add 4th line goons & depth players
If we add “tough” guys, they need to be able to play significant roles
Deslauries doesn’t help protect out good young talent,
he won’t be out on the ice with them hardly- if ever!
He plays less than 10min a night, and can’t play in our Top9 to “protect” anyone

HARD PASS

Holy hell guys….
Do u not remember how bad at hockey Deslauries is?
I tried to block out those years too, but come on now 🤣🤣🤣

That doesn’t make our “team” tougher
Just adds an Andrew Peters type to run out there & try to fight another team’s goon- if they even have on- AFTER THE FACT,
which literally does nothing

HARD PASS

1 point every 6 games equals less than 14pts in an 82game season

STILL SUCKS
