<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sk540</b></div><div>The thinking here in my opinion is a 1st and 2nd for each and then zadina and fabbri for each. I think TK's value is around the 1st and 2nd and Zadina as a reclamation project. However, Fabbri and a 1st and 2nd for Hart is not quite the value I'd be looking for for Hart. I think to trade Hart, some team will need to overpay - which in and of itself may be impossible because historically goalie trades don't offer the value you want. Maybe Schneider for the 7th overall several years ago, but you usually don't see it.

This is why I'm in the group of people that think no way Hart is traded. Only way is if a GM completely overpays. Like if Stevie Y included another 1st or Wallinder, it would be tough to walk away. Or if EDM offered their 1st and 2nds over the next 3 years (two 1sts and two 2nds), Bouchard, Yamamoto, and Bourgault. Or like AZ offering 3 firsts and Cooley. Like these deals would never happen, and we're not giving him up for any less than an amazing value, so I don't think it's gonna happen IMO.</div></div>

I see what you're saying, and I agree that none of those will happen. Historically, goalies have very little trade value. Even Hasek, when traded to Detroit, was worth a late 1st (30oa) + Kozlov (at the time a 28yo middle six forward). Other examples...

- Husso traded for a 3rd
- Vanecek + #46 for #37 + 3rd
- Grubauer + Orpik dump = 2nd
- Bobrovsky = 2nd + 2nd + 4th

Bob is probably the best comparable for Hart, as this was during his ELC before signing any high-AAV contracts. I think getting a 1st + is a very big deal for a goalie, just based on history (not that I agree with it!).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OilednGreasy</b></div><div>I'd suggest Draisaitl at centre over McDavid. Leon slows play down while attracting attention that tends to give linemates more time to get into scoring positions, and he can seemingly get passes through anywhere. Kostin looked pretty good when given that opportunity last season.
You have to make good decisions very quickly at both ends of the ice when playing with McDavid, and that can be tough on young players I think.
Pulling it off with higher quality guys means against higher quality guys too.

I think It takes a certain type of player with McDavid is maybe a better way to put it than lower level. A player that would be good with Larkin I'd expect to play well enough with McDavid though too.

How much has Zadina played with Larkin?</div></div>

Good breakdown and I think a good assessment.

Unfortunately, Z hasn't really gotten time with Larkin since his sophomore year. And it went poorly. Zadina was trying to find a groove at that point, Bertuzzi (the line's written in LW) was hurt 75% of the year, and the actual LW was a revolving door of bottom 6 players (Brome, Gagner, Namestnikov, Mantha; Fabbri was the best of the bunch and Vrana found great success in limited time together). Therefore, all the attention was put on attacking Larkin and a very young Zadina. It didn't work out for these reasons (though Vrana/Z should've joined Larkin again and never did for unknown reasons) and they have thrown him mostly on the 4th line since. 😒
