Look at the Comment below your first comment and tell me if I overvalue when your fellow Wings fan pretty much is placing Vrana in Mcdavid trade territory with the assets he is asking for

So by your description Anthony Mantha has the same value as Mcdavid would right and yet you traded him away for Vrana, a 1st and Richard Panik and yet you're saying I'm overvaluing my players?

Kerfoot isn't mediocre for the game that he plays. Granted he has never found a proper fit here in Toronto it doesn't make him a bad player? Same goes for Dermott and age his on his side where he is only 25 with alot of room to grow. Amirov and the 1st and or 2nd Round pick would be of most value here yes

Honestly it's **** or get off the pot with Liljgrenn. Mikhayev is also an unknown variable. The 7th means nothing at this point in time but like I said Eakins is more of a shutdown player than anything and I believe that 3rd line needs to be an absolute rock and then let the Top 6 or the 44Mil dollar boys club score the goals. Thats what they are payed for

The Leafs Derozan Trade Scenario
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gmonwy</b></div><div>Tkachuk doesn't want out that rumor was debunked the day after it came out. Alse Tarasenko doesn't have the Value to be the center peice of a Tkachuk trade anymore. Yes ge is a former 30 goal scorer but we need Tkachuk's grit to get anywhere</div></div>
Where did it get debunked? Because it's still out there if it wasn't true then it still wouldn't be in the rumour circles. Though I like the Idea of the Leafs getting Cody Eakins as a 3rd Centre though. Gritty Forward with really good Faceoff % numbers plus at a decent age and cap?

I was thinking instead of SDA, I place Hallinder in the trade puzzle but yeah I know like I said won't happen #1 because of Leafs management and #2 because I'm 100% sure that Tkachuk will be traded to St Louis for Tarasenko and Tkachuk has 1 year left then he becomes an RFA

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ritzy</b></div><div>Don't think DAL has wiggle room with the cap. They still have Miro, Dickinson to sign and likely take a good run at Oleksiak as well. Not sure what the status of Bishop and Radulov are, but there is another $10M they need to account for.
You would need to change SDA to Liljegren for the NSH trade to have any sort of consideration. Even then I don't know if Ellis is a guy they want to move.</div></div>
They do. No Stephen Johns now and Oleksiak will go somewhere else for more on the open market. Dallas needs defence and Rielly isn't at a high end price for what he provides. SDA yes because the Leafs minor league System has a plethora of Centers but not enough wingers so yeah SDA would be a guy you trade away and yeah Ellis is at 6.25 Mil and I doubt Nashville want to rid themselves of the Ryan Johansson deal or the Matt Duchecne deal so Ellis is the next best option. If I were them I'd protect Josi, give Ekholm an extension then protect him and I can't remember the 3rd d man they'd protect

I mean I never said that I was the GM of the Leafs but I did it based off of Simple Moves. Bottom 6 isn't as bad as you believe it to be honestly but it needs just a little more reshaping and honestly we still have a better bottom 6 than half the league so idk what you are talking about

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Azura0055</b></div><div>I’m struggling to understand the logic. Rielly has stated (reports) that he is willing to resign with TO for below market value. I will assume this to be a fact. In this case, he is agreeing to remain with the Leafs and get paid less than he’s worth on the open market. In these cases, 90+% of the time, a player will sign a No Movement Clause to ensure that they are going to be playing for the team they signed with, and if they do get traded, they can have 100% control over the destination.
If Rielly wants to play in Carolina, why would he sign with the Leafs for less than market?
Am I missing something in this logic?</div></div>
The Spending Habits of the Carolina GM and Owner they don't like to overspend on Players so if Rielly would come in at 1 or 2 million less per year then what he is getting payed he would be open to that type of player with that type of Contract. I'm sure the only reason why Carolina is allowing Dougie to talk with other teams is to gauge what his exact value is on the open market. Rielly doesn't have that luxury because he is still signed but if an extension can be done with Rielly then he agrees to be traded to Carolina for Dougie Hamilton then it's sort of a win win as in Leafs get their star RHD and Shot. Carolina gets a great LHD on a better deal and save on Cap

Because Rielly already stated he would resign for Toronto at below market value so instead of 8Mil he'd receive 6 or 7 same as Hamilton. Both Hamilton and Rielly could get 8 Million from a different team but are willing to take a paycut with the previous team they played for? So a Sign and Trade for the two defenceman make sense from a Cap Standpoint

Oleksiak getting over $2mil. Foligno's production hasn't been great but I would think someone offers him $3mil for his "intangibles".
For the 8 millionth time, the Oilers aren't trading
Miller was going to be played as a 3C next year in Vancouver which is a waste of his talent might as well get an Actual 3C for the team that's cheaper with added prospects. If the Canucks are serious about going ham in FA they need to clear Cap? A deal like this would clear at least 2 Mil from their already tight cap space?</div></div>

I'm not even a Rielly fan, but this would be a steal that would be dumb to turn down</div></div>
Intangibles suspect me to believe that Dougie will get signed to a cheaper deal in Carolina but will be flipped right afterwards? It's a suspicion or Hockey Hunch and yeah the Rielly deal is bad but unless if they agreed upon a trade or Hamilton goes to Toronto on the cheap ( Also not likely ) Hamilton will get 8 somewhere but Carolina will likely give him an 8×7.

i don't like AG tbh, but oleksiak, montembeault (cheaper please), simmer, bogo, and MDZ are great additions. i don't know about nylander tbh, but i could see him being a good bottom 6 forward.
you've underpaid coleman by about 1M (he's a top 6 player) and goodrow (who won't sign to play on your fourth line) by about 2M.
clear out the scratches and bring in reimer for dirt cheap and you get ur lineup but with goodrow - foligno - coleman 3rd line and robertson on the 2nd line. nylander can play 4th line until he shows better.</div></div>
It's kinda a Chem and Morale booster for Mitch? I do like the Idea of Coleman on the 2nd Pair with JT and Willy then have a Robertson Foligno Goodrow line? Then Alex Nylander, Brooks, Spezza. I like the Idea of getting Montembault it would be a great opportunity and I bet you can get him over at a decent pay if you offer him a 1B role behind Campbell. Del Zotto and Oleksiak would be pretty good depth Forwards on the dollar plus bringing back Wayne Train and the Norris Trophy winning Bogosian ;). Maybe then trade Rielly for Prospects and Picks I suppose to keep us below the Cap and maybe use Robertson as a scratch and get another bottom 6 fwd with the Cap saved? I would say Gally? ( Galchenyuk ) but I feel like a guy who can be a nuisance is needed I'm kinda thinking Cedric Paquette?
