Description
Again just a concept but the Brothers Nylander thing is very intriguing imagine now there are Two! Nylanders for everyone to complain about lmao but I like it and it's my concept. The Offer sheet for Montembault is kinda a stretch but If I was Florida I'd keep Driedger and Bobrovsky and trade Montembault for value? But If a team offers Montembault double of what he is getting payed now in his entry level he'd go there and it would be the type of Shinanigans that Dubas likes to do? The Dvorak trade I don't believe is fair? Liljgrenn I know is going to be out. The Rielly for a Pick and Georgiev to the Rangers I really like the Concept especially if Oleksiak comes in on a cheaper deal and plays 2nd Pair Left Side ( look at his numbers he is unreal at stopping offensive rushes ). Foligno comes back plays 3C and the Leafs sign Coleman and Goodrow at premiums to bring them aboard plus Bogo comes back. Robertson and Brooks receive permanent spots on the roster and they should. Simmonds comes back on a team friendly deal. Del Zotto I get the feeling he will come around? He is very good friends with JT and played together in Juniors so essentially you are giving each player someone they want and need to play with?
Robertson ₩ Foligno and Coleman
Willy Styles ₩ Tavares and his Brother Alexander ( Might have a Sedin effect might not but Alex could turn into a cheap Top 6 Fwd with time and proper linemates? )
Marner ₩ Matthews and his former London Knights teammate in Christian Dvorak insta chem.
Georgiev solves the 1A/1B Problem between him and Campbell and Georgiev is on a decent contract as well for a few years?

Just NO. Wrong destination for Reilly. We have a log jam of young kids we are moving up and no need for Reilly when we have Fox running the PP1

Oleksiak, Goodrow, Coleman are getting about 50 cents on the dollar.

absolutely love the idea of dvorak on this team. really hope he's the 'mystery player' CJ is talking about.

rielly gets more from another team. someone like winnipeg might overpay.

i don't like AG tbh, but oleksiak, montembeault (cheaper please), simmer, bogo, and MDZ are great additions. i don't know about nylander tbh, but i could see him being a good bottom 6 forward.
you've underpaid coleman by about 1M (he's a top 6 player) and goodrow (who won't sign to play on your fourth line) by about 2M.

clear out the scratches and bring in reimer for dirt cheap and you get ur lineup but with goodrow - foligno - coleman 3rd line and robertson on the 2nd line. nylander can play 4th line until he shows better.

CHI have a lot of contracts, if Nylander were to move we wouldn't want 2 back. We don't want more bottom 6 guys/AHL guys if we giving up Nylander.

It's kinda a Chem and Morale booster for Mitch? I do like the Idea of Coleman on the 2nd Pair with JT and Willy then have a Robertson Foligno Goodrow line? Then Alex Nylander, Brooks, Spezza. I like the Idea of getting Montembault it would be a great opportunity and I bet you can get him over at a decent pay if you offer him a 1B role behind Campbell. Del Zotto and Oleksiak would be pretty good depth Forwards on the dollar plus bringing back Wayne Train and the Norris Trophy winning Bogosian wink. Maybe then trade Rielly for Prospects and Picks I suppose to keep us below the Cap and maybe use Robertson as a scratch and get another bottom 6 fwd with the Cap saved? I would say Gally? ( Galchenyuk ) but I feel like a guy who can be a nuisance is needed I'm kinda thinking Cedric Paquette?

Yeah I hear you. Again just an Idea? I was thinking Dermott and a Prospect for Alex Nylander?

Dermott although a decent NHL 3rd liner, we have a lot of LD too. We are approaching the 50 contract limit quick (currently 41) and we havent re-signed our RFA. Dermott will just add to the congestion we are already currently experiencing on the LD side.

Clever guy! Well if that Eichel deal goes through and you can offload some contracts in the process then who'd you like?

Probably not a great deal we would be interested in. Obviously you have your top prospects Amirov, Sandin, Robertson and I would say them but I would presume they are off the table (Clearly not a 1 for 1 trade but more Nylander part of a package for them). Other then them we wouldn't have a great deal of interest in many others, perhaps Hallander or Hirvonen but not really much due to our own situation in a rebuild.

I mean Hirvonen, Mikhayev and a late rounder could net us something decent?

Yeah I'm sure it could get you something but I would still prefer to give Nylander a chance to take on both of them. Mikhayev is just another of those bottom 6 forwards we have a lot of. Hirvonen although skilled is another small player which we do have a lot of and I think he has a good skillset but would need to see more of him and obviously the team would need to be convinced he could translate what he's shown so far into the NHL.
