Eh he's kinda what we hope Chytil becomes, he's also better on face offs and defensively. He's underrated by alot of Ranger fans.. If we could get him for Chytil I'd do it only with an extension tho.

This seems like the best trade to make for both sides (SJ really needs to start a rebuild dont they?), but he would be the 2C here and Strome would be traded. I also only would trade for him as long as he's open to an extension with Chytil going the other way.

Strome would probably be replaced and yeah I'm aware, I have 30M of cap for Zib/Fox/Tkachuk and Kakko which is enough... If he can't play RW tho then its not even an option with Panarin/Lafraniere as LW for the next 5 years+

To be fair they can do both, if they pick up another center another way (Strome +?) all depends on if they want to sign Buchnevich long term with Kakko and Kravtsov future RWs and a flat cap for maybe 3 years

Yeah Rangers say yes if Toews is fine to play the season at 5M. He is like a perfect kind of player for the team they have right now (young), leader, motivator, good 2 way player who puts up points and allows Zibanejad a lesser role on defense.

You know who else is locked up at a reasonable cap hit for years?.. Lafraniere, Kakko, Kravtsov, Panarin and thats not even counting if they keep Buchnevich.. There's also Kreider will be playing 3rd line. Kane doesn't make sense for the Rangers, especially at the expense of a center.
