But I suppose it depends on the return. Here, VGK gives up less to get Zibanajed instead and getting Kakko + Lundkvist + 1st is pretty good for the rebuild in BUF.

This team is worse down the middle, but I guess you'll win faceoffs that don't make a difference. If Chytil was a 2C we'd have no need for Eichel. Would rather pay Mika 8 x 8.5 than trade those assets.

There's no reason to pay more for Eichel than Mark Stone got, if there truly is urgency to move him. If not, they should keep him.

I suppose they could look at Krejci to fill 2C if he doesn't re-sign with BOS and hope Chytil or Krebs can take over 2C soon. But yeah, 2C and 2RW are my biggest issues with this team as it stands here.

One is a winger who was dealt as a rental at the deadline. OTT didn't get compensation on Stone and Vegas signing long-term pretty much immediately afterwards.

Eichel is a top10 C in the league with 4 years left on his contract.

I fail to see what in their situation is similar.

You're essentially giving up Zibanejad, Kakko, Nils, Strome and 15 for Eichel and Krebs.. no thanks
