-Doesn't make sense for Winnipeg, especially without retention. Hoffman has rebuilt *some* value this year but I just don't see Winnipeg taking him at full freight. I'd hang on to him through the summer (when all of your retention slots you've used here will open back up) and retain him down to $2.25M and send him out to a contender looking for a PP specialist - I honestly think he'll bring back positive value in that type of situation, if he stays healthy and keeps up his level of play.

-Stop me if you've heard this one before: Drouin is hurt and out of the lineup. I can't see any team giving positive value to a guy that is this unreliable. I think the only way you get back any sort of positive return on Drouin would be by paying a 3rd team to retain him down to $1.375M - i.e., the Habs send a 4th &amp; Drouin 50% retained to Team A, Team A sends Drouin with the extra 25% retention to Team B, Team B sends a 3rd to Montreal to get Drouin at a very cheap hit.</div></div>

And with all of that said, probably one of the most reasonable Montreal acgm teams I've seen

Every Jet fan on here wants to trade Scheifele for some reason, and some call him a "locker room cancer". That's from JET FANS. Scheifele isn't the answer to win a CUP and that's 100% the reason Jet fans want him GONE. The Rangers traded for Copp...NOT Scheifele at TDL because that's who they wanted. They have a better 1C already in Zibanejad and Copp will be their 2C, so no need for Scheifele or to give up ANY ASSETS. In addition, Schneider and Lafrenier are both 20 year old studs who are the future of the Ranger franchise, so it's not hoarding assets, its smart and efficient planning.
