<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HatterTParty</b></div><div>Okay, with that logic, how do solve the issue? Odds are, you need to get rid a player or two to solve the cap issue. That means you need three forwards and two dmen potentially.

What I’m saying specifically is that the team hasn’t focused on its long term outlook to solving problems. Cap issues are the problem? Agreed, but to solve it, you need to suffer for some time. Seabrook makes contract will cost at least an unprotected 1st to get rid of. Or you keep him, then how do you the problem? Trade toews or Kane and 10.5 mil? Nope, that’s going way backwards.

So I’ll ask this, is it really that bad to have a rebuild? With due respect, bowman already ****ed this team. We had our dynasty and we even had a chance to continue it without going into a down period. Unfortunately, bowman messed it up with bad contracts and even worse trades.</div></div>

I do agree last offseason Bowman put this team in the wrong direction. The Shaw trade was brutal by giving up a 2nd and 3rd rounder when we could have signed someone like Donskoi or Dzingel for free. Nylander has not worked out like everyone hoped but he is still young. I do not know why we traded for Maatta if we were going to get de Haan too. If the cap doesn't rise a lot and not much is moved this team will be stuck being mediocre. If say, Maatta and Smith are moved maybe they'll be able to bring in a player or two who knows. I take back my comment because it is not that realistic. If they had cap space, that would be a different story.
