He’s a very solid player. The guy had terrible puck luck. He is very serviceable bottom 6 center. If the wings don’t need him. He can go somewhere else.

Price and Allen are huge question marks. Gives you a young goalie and clears cap space.

Currently pius suter is your 3C. I don’t see any of your other forwards stepping into that role of a PK 3C. Which is something you guys desperately need according to the stats.

Playoffs Lmk how this is
Pretty decent package for timo. Holtz would have to be coming back from me personally as I love his potential.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsRafiki</b></div><div>Won’t at least one of Hill or Kahkonen have to clear waivers unless SJS make a move?</div></div>
I believe kaapo could go down one more time(could be wrong). Could depend on his contract. Also We could easily just trade Reimer who is better in the moment and probably worth more anyways.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsRafiki</b></div><div>Unless MSL is in love with the idea of salvaging Drouin, I would think the Habs should make this trade. Personally, I'd prefer instead to have the pick(s) come from Montreal and trade Hoffman instead.</div></div>
We (the sharks) wouldn’t do Hoffman for obvious reasons. Also with you guys kinda of doing a retooling of your own. I don’t think trading away at least a second, probably more is the right play at the moment.

I could even see where you guys do it with price.
Even is Price comes back, he is not gonna be in a situation where he can play 60-70 games. Probably more like 40-50. I personally don’t see Allen as a legit option, maybe you guys disagree but. Hill also is way younger and RFA controlled for after this year.

Grabbing a scoring forward
Forward core is good enough to challenge for playoffs. Defense and Goaltending is shaky at best
Nino would be a excellent signing. But I doubt we go for it this off-season. Next off-season could see us grappling a scoring top 6 forward

It’s obviously a cap dumb. Whatever else you get is free captia. Will wonder what the dal offer looked like.

It is. EK65 was not as moveable. And was actually way better this season. Albeit in a role that played to his strengths than burns. Vlasics buyout sucks. Depending on where we are. I could see is giving up captia for vlasic salary rather than a buyout.

Also did not see the balcers thing coming. Intriguing 48 hours here for SJ

What are we doing pain
I don’t mind the kunin deal. Realistically kunin fits what we need. He’s only 8 months older than John. He has decent upside(last two years before this one was on a 20 goal 40+ point trajectory). He is also right handed. Something we don’t have a lot of.
The picks are what they are realistically. I’m not a nhl scout and my judgment on players is based off the two sentence reviews I read. The trade down imo was a awesome deal. Allowed us to add 2 2nd round talents from a draft that was pretty deep in that area. Hopefully the magic beans turn out.

Could see your guys getting desperate to keep your window alive. Only would be technically adding 3 mil in cap at the moment. Would give you another option to spread around your top 6/9.

10 mil over 28 mil. Check
Replacing them with two guys(William and Thomas) in the depth chart who are better than chem and Noah. Check
It’s two years out. It’s a bet on ourself. With the young core we are building. We should be in the playoffs by then. Kinda check.

That is a challenge. I could see a situation where Arizona retains 50 percent and it’s only a 2.25 mil contact and he goes to a more competitive team.
Labanc contact isn’t the best but if we play the market right I’m sure we could find a team looking to stay in the mix with adding a top 6 piece

I love the player we get back in the ARI deal but the only way I see this deal happening is if we trade hertl and have ammo to spare, which is unlikely. Plus the value is off

Well this definitely a intriguing development
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CheechYou</b></div><div>The only way I'd do this if I'm DW is basically is if I have a discussion with Hertl and we basically have an informal but clear understanding that Hertl will sign with San Jose in the offseason and that this is just a chance to make the team better for next season and to also give Hertl a chance at the cup for this current season.</div></div>
Yes! This is what my mindset was. Also with the ammo that we got from the hertl deal. We can can look into the possibility of dumping vlasic. Would also trade Simek in the off-season. Maybe a 1 for 1 deal if we got a top 9 forward.
