RIP RUDY
I think tro is a little optimistic. We already pretty deep in center depth. And MG said we “don’t have a lot of money to throw around” which I believe is code for. Unless we think we can win(we don’t) no big FA signings. I think we would more likely to sign a Marchment or other middle 6 winger

What are we doing pain
I don’t mind the kunin deal. Realistically kunin fits what we need. He’s only 8 months older than John. He has decent upside(last two years before this one was on a 20 goal 40+ point trajectory). He is also right handed. Something we don’t have a lot of.
The picks are what they are realistically. I’m not a nhl scout and my judgment on players is based off the two sentence reviews I read. The trade down imo was a awesome deal. Allowed us to add 2 2nd round talents from a draft that was pretty deep in that area. Hopefully the magic beans turn out.

He would be flipped to a contender. They are just retaining 50 percent of his contact.

Could see your guys getting desperate to keep your window alive. Only would be technically adding 3 mil in cap at the moment. Would give you another option to spread around your top 6/9.

10 mil over 28 mil. Check
Replacing them with two guys(William and Thomas) in the depth chart who are better than chem and Noah. Check
It’s two years out. It’s a bet on ourself. With the young core we are building. We should be in the playoffs by then. Kinda check.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Nice goal, but NTC Vlasic and Arizona really don't the motivation for a trade. Lebanc looks like he isn't worth his contract now,</div></div>
That is a challenge. I could see a situation where Arizona retains 50 percent and it’s only a 2.25 mil contact and he goes to a more competitive team.
Labanc contact isn’t the best but if we play the market right I’m sure we could find a team looking to stay in the mix with adding a top 6 piece

I love the player we get back in the ARI deal but the only way I see this deal happening is if we trade hertl and have ammo to spare, which is unlikely. Plus the value is off

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CheechYou</b></div><div>The only way I'd do this if I'm DW is basically is if I have a discussion with Hertl and we basically have an informal but clear understanding that Hertl will sign with San Jose in the offseason and that this is just a chance to make the team better for next season and to also give Hertl a chance at the cup for this current season.</div></div>
Yes! This is what my mindset was. Also with the ammo that we got from the hertl deal. We can can look into the possibility of dumping vlasic. Would also trade Simek in the off-season. Maybe a 1 for 1 deal if we got a top 9 forward.

On paper that sounds great. But I don’t think we could flip Barrie for anything that good. We just don’t need another RHD. Especially not a offensively driven one like Barrie.

I think that’s pretty fair for hertl tbh. With the retainer on hertl tho I feel like that’s either has to be come a first or another 2nd/b prospect. Especially because your in the division

Sharks without the Karlsson trade
Probably also can resign pavs. And jumbo probably never leaves. Way stronger leadership to help Kane. This forward core is legendary. And with some more cap to help a aging burns/Braun/Dillon/Vlasic

I think moving up at the draft is a solution that could work for the sharks. If a team would accept a package of labanc and our first and maybe others that would be great for us. I still think we need a big time center prospect.

Evander Kane 3 Way Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheEmphatic1</b></div><div>It’s only a quarter of the season in. There is still a ton of the season left. James Reimer, who has been beasting, cannot possibly keep this up all season long. He has to eventually fatigue and taper down. He’s a “platoon” type of goalie and Adin Hill would really need to step up if the Sharks want to keep up this wild card/playoff spot contention alive.
The good news is if they are in the playoff hunt is that Tomas Hertl may want to re-sign and believe the Sharks have a new cup window in the following years.
The cap is going to be very difficult when you got to eventually give pay raises to Meier, Ferraro, etc. and that doesn’t even include Hertl re-signing.
I keep hearing that this draft class is deep and I have no clue how to pick prospects, but would a mid-tier to late first round draft pick be pointless/obsolete?
To be honest, I rather not have the Sharks get their teeth knocked in the first or second round of the playoffs anyways, but with all these long term contracts, something tells me the Sharks are still not going anywhere for a while.</div></div>
Adin hill is a key player going forward for sure. Looked good last night. Has shown 1A potential. Just need to realize it

Evander Kane 3 Way Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>goodfella</b></div><div>It's a bad thing. They're not deep enough to compete for a Cup. They need to tank another year and try for next year.</div></div>
The sharks have so many huge contracts. You really can’t trade them if you “tank”. And you don’t suck enough because of those contracts to get a top pick to be worth tanking. So at least put yourself in a situation to be competitive. And the sharks actually have a decent core developing, Eklund, Timo, Ferraro are really good stepping stones.
