Unlikely that is a competitive offer for McGroarty.

I'm not confident Berggren displaces anyone on the current WPG roster and it doesn't look like he's waiver exempt anymore, so it's unlikely WPG trades Mcgroarty for a 2nd (or even two) and someone who will potentially sit in the pressbox or end up being waived anyway.

Gibson had a good season and he’s a right handed dman who are always in demand. Why would we deal him for another 2nd? I always expected him to be moved as a trade chip after the season he had with seider and pelikka cementing themselves likely as core guys on the right side for a long time and there’s always the chance to get a pesce/Roy or someone else or a trade but I didn’t think we’d just move him for a pick

Gotta think he’s moving that pick in a trade or maybe it’s just as simple as moving a 2nd and a 3rd or something to move up from 15 to 8-10 in the draft or moving 47&53 for a team like dallas’s 29th pick (who only draft again n the 5th round)
