There's often a healthy difference between what fans want or expect in a trade return and what that return actually looks like. Not saying it couldn't be the 1st and Foerster, but I feel like he's one of Torts' favourites based on some of his deployment last year.

Honestly, if I'm Philly I do it. They have a ton of depth and a potential superstar winger coming over. Why not take a chance on a guy that could be a long-term 1C?

12th overall plus next year's second is probably an acceptable alternative to Foerster plus the pick, but Atkinson is closer to a cap dump than a significant positive value. I don't think that this package does it for Anaheim.

Cause they have no clue what his value is around the league. There was a BOS ACGM that was Zacha and a couple picks, majority of people around the league do not believe he has the value their own fans have. But thats not surprising at all

It's not a deep draft, Atkinson is a negative asset without retention and the Ducks have a ton of mid-round picks already. Doesn't fit any of Anaheim's asks for Zegras.

They asked for Guhle or Reinbacher as the center of a trade to Montreal for Zegras. I imagine they would ask for Bonk, or York + pick. That being said I wouldn't have an issue moving either of those guys plus one of our 1sts in the next two years, but not 12 overall + bonk or York.
