He ain’t going top 3, that’s for sure. He could go 4, but he doesn’t fit Columbus’ needs and he isn’t a Waddell type guy

is it worth too give up 3 young kids, 2 of which are finally starting to look like decent blue liners to move up from 5 to 2nd? even if u love a prospect ull still get an elite prospect from the 5th spot and keeping ur young kids is 1000000% smarter unless ur getting #1

Lehkonen wasplaying the 3rd and 4th line for HABS after they traded him he is now on the 1st line with McKinnon. Ylonen has the talent and I believe he will be better suited for another team and can climb the lineup. If HABS can get rid of Gallagher and Anderson Ylonen would have gotten his chance.

to move up to 2nd you are going to have to get rid of something that hurts, not spare parts

No he isn’t, Anaheim has 4 top 6 lefty, they don’t want another one. Also, Demidov has dropped quite a bit lately cuz he ain’t playing good players. Some teams mught not even take him if he is available past 5

Chicago counters with #34OA and Phillips for #5OA. That's how ridiculous your proposal was.

Sure, Grant McCagg on the sick podcast, The Athletic, David Ettedgui, etc Even scouts are saying that :
If my job is on the line, I’ll take one of the hyper-talented Canadians (Cayden Lindstrom, Tij Iginla or Berkly Catton) before Ivan Demidov. – Anonymous recruiter

https://dose.ca/2024/06/06/david-ettedgui-ivan-demidov-will-be-a-member-of-the-habs-on-draft-day/

A dozen of teams wouldn’t consider him in the top 5

Ylonen has negligible current trade value no matter how hopeful you are that he'll have a breakthrough this year. Barron and Harris might well get you from #26 to #18, but they don't get you from #5 to #2.

Highly unlikely the Hawks trade out of two but if they were inclined to, that proposal is absolutely laughable.

Ylonen and Harris are of no interest to the Hawks. As a previous poster mentioned, Montreal would have to give up something that hurts, something that makes them pause and question whether or not they are doing the right thing.

I would suggest one of the following packages.

To Montreal: Chicago’s 2024 1st (2)

To Chicago: Montreal’s 2024 1st (5), Winnipeg’s 2024 1st (26), Pittsburgh’s 2025 2nd and Barron

Or

To Chicago: Montreal’s 2024 1st (5), Winnipeg’s 2024 1st (26) and the better of Montreal or Calgary’s 2025 1st (top 10 protected).

The other half is saying he will go fifth…

The athletic’s official mock draft say that Demidov will go 5th

The third link does work (unless your momma blocked X for you), try again

David Ettedgui is a renowned agent (notably known for representing Carey Price and Marian Hossa). He knows what he is talking about and he has links pretty much everywhere.

What about Grant McCagg?

What about Scott Power, who says Lindstrom is probably ahead of Demidov right now?
