EDM
ANA
  1. Ceci, Cody
  2. Choix de 6e ronde en 2024 (NSH)
Détails additionnels:
Anaheim is in need of defense with 1 more year remaining on his contract, can also be used to floor the cap, if still not suitable throw in another 6th or 7th round pick
2.
EDM
CHI
  1. Campbell, Jack
  2. Stefan, James
  3. Choix de 2e ronde en 2026 (EDM)
Détails additionnels:
Chicago's intention will be to buy him out or even flip him for value (somehow)

Also they were signing players to hit the cap floor last season, they have no intention of maknig the playoffs next season, so why not take in a second and a C tier prospect for some cap dump

  2. Grubbe, Jayden

  4. Choix de 2e ronde en 2024 (EDM)
  5. Choix de 1e ronde en 2025 (EDM)
  6. Choix de 3e ronde en 2025 (EDM)
Détails additionnels:
Kane can be flipped to another team in a 3-way deal

This deal is also a hail mary in some ways, but in my opinion its reasonable, if Blues dont like the direction of this trade, would prefer if Edmonton went after Claude Giroux
4.
5.
EDM
UTA
  1. Nurse, Darnell
Détails additionnels:
Players with a NMC usually do waive it after heavy pressure from the organization. Utah is in need of defense badly and Nurse does excell when he is paired with a D-man that can move the puck. Reporters have hinted that Utah needs a leader in their locker room and Nurse would be a great fit for a young squad with no pressure on them up and coming

The Blues are not taking Kane. Buch would almost certainly begin with Broberg.

Can be flipped somewhere else, also Oil probably are not giving up Broberg, more likely Mcleod or Holloway is given up to get Buch

Heh. Except Edmonton doesn't get to unilaterally decide what the cost of Buch is. Even with Broberg, it's going to be a struggle. Without him, you may as well forget it.

And like I said, the Blies won't touch Kane. You deal him somewhere and use the proceeds to improve this Buch offer.

Again, I guarentee there will be some return for Kane elsewhere in a 3 team trade, Kane as an asset is not even bad, 20 goal scorer. Just on Pavel, if the Blues do not trade him he will walk in free agency, the blues know that as well, he is going to command 8 million and above so they need to get a return on him. The reported ask for him was two first round picks and plus when he had 2 years left on his contract (frank seravalli), now he only has 1. So here the oil is giving up 3 picks, 2 prospects, and I would be down to throw in a current roster player. To say the Blues would not be 50/50 on this deal, is kinda laughable

First of all, the Blues are trying to extend him. Him walking is not a concern right now and he is not for sale. Someone would need to offer something Army can't turn down. Not one piece you're offering is of real interest, and half the league could easily beat it with little effort. And yet again, if Kane is so easy to move for assets, then you do it. The Blues will not touch Kane. It's a non starter.

In conclusion, it's laughable to think the Blues would consider this for a nanosecond. If you have to pile up 6-7 pieces for Buch, it's not a suitable offer. You're not dealing with Chicago or San Jose.

Nobody is touching that Campbell contract for anything less than a couple of 1st round picks. Even then Chicago declines. They'll have no problem hitting the cap floor. Stefan is an intriguing prospect, but him and a 2nd doesn't get the job done.

If any team had been willing to take on Campbell’s brutal contract for that ridiculous offer he would have been traded months ago.

Also, how the hell are the Hawks going to be able to “flip” Campbell? The Oilers haven’t been able to trade him and instead he cleared waivers and was sent to the minors but now the Hawks will be able to flip him for value?? Get real.

The Hawks will take Campbell if the Oilers attach three decent assets; a 1st round pick, Akey and another prospect or top two round draft pick.

I've seen this sentiment a few different times on a few different posts. (1) This is likely the last year where the Hawks still need to work to hit the cap floor; they won't want bad multi-year deals any more than other teams. (2) Plenty of teams need cap space, and plenty of teams have cap space to spare. If the Oilers are only offering a future 2nd round pick and C-level prospect for a 3x$5 million contract, somebody else in the league will make a better cap dump offer. Just because the Hawks need to hit the cap floor doesn't mean you don't have to pay fair market value for your cap dumps.

As a hawks fan, how would you feel if the hawks swapped seth jones for Nurse and some picks and prospects

In my honest opinion I'd rather keep Jones. The Chicago media is making stories out of nothing about his attitude issues. I know there's a segment of the fanbase that wants him gone but he is useful in his role. Very similar to when Chicago signed Brian Campbell for more than he was worth. By the time the dynasty came around he was a 2nd pairing guy. Jones fills a need on the right side. Chicago is loaded with depth on the left side so trades would need to be made to address the void on the right side while moving prospects that are now blocked by Nurse. Seems like Davidson would be making more work for himself in the process.
