Anderson has 20 points in 78 games while Dvorak had 9 points in 30 games.

PLD had a bad year and scored 40 points (more than both guys combined and both guys combined are more expensive than PLD) but you want LA to add a 1st which Anderson and Dvorak alone wouldn't get in return followed by Kaliyev and Laf? With the kind of logic you're using here lets swap Laf for Slaf (even though Slaf out produced Laf and has a far higher ceiling they both get paid the same so its fair) and call it a day.

1. Dvorak and Anderson both got a down year
2. Pld has 7 year of bad contract, Dvorak and Anderson have 4 combined
3. Both players combine are 21m. PLD is 60m. The cost to take on 40m is way more than a late first, a mid project and a young prospect

Dvorak has had 3 down years, Anderson is 5 years removed from a season with 40 points or more.

PLD has the most likelihood to rebound, which makes sense as he was played on the third line with his most consistent parter played only 4 professional games before becoming a full time NHLer this season.

LA is going to be patient, Byfield was considered a bust before this season, VIlardi the season before that, Danaualt was considered an overpay, Doughty was washed. The one thing this team does well is not sell when the value is at its lowest. You can keep Dvorak and Anderson, you can bet they will have higher points that PLD with Vegas when over/under point totals are posted.

1. PLD had a down year and still outscored both of those guys combined, granted Dvorak didn't play a full season so that doesn't have much weight but Anderson did and PLD doubled him in points mainly playing on the 3rd or 4th line.
2. PLD is on a brand new team playing a totally different style of hockey so him having a bad year isn't crazy to see happen. Is he going to play like this for the next 7 years? Of course not, he is not going to be this bad for 7 yrs.
3. If this trade was formed strictly for longevity of the money the Kings would save just as much money buying PLD out (buyout costing 27m) then trading him and saving assets so that doesn't make sense.
4. MTL fans see there is still potential for PLD to become that 1C/2C that he is suppose to be but they think because of one bad season they are going to get him for the bad contracts they have like this is some kind of charity.

1. Dvorak and Anderson also had awful years. Anderson passed from a 20 goal score to a 20 pts scorer.
2. What tells you he will be better? Seems like every strategy has been tried in LA. He won’t get a lot better, and even if he get back to like 50 pts, he would be MASSIVELY overpaid.
3. Nobody is talking about the realistic factor of the trade. If it was realistic, Hughes would have told Blake to f*ck off already
4. Nobody ever said that. It’s only LA fans trying to dump him

1. No doubt about it all three guys had bad years but PLD is far more likely of the three to bounce back.
2. Considering that 2 seasons ago he scored 60 pts and the season after 63pts he was getting better every season in his production. He took a step back in his production because of his new environment/team/system.
3. No actual Kings fans have posted a trade getting rid of PLD, take this guy for example. This guy doesn't have a "favorite team" selected in his bio but all his trade are MTL trades with other teams so who do you think he roots for?

1. More likely to bounce back? The Kings litterally did everything they can to save him
2. Considering he was playing with Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers, it shows more about him producing only if he has superstar teammates
3. If you look at any PLD trade, there is 2 choices :
Habs fan trying to use their cap space and getting good players in compensation (and it’s probably the same ones that keep making Zegras trades)
Kings fan dumping PLD to Montreal with an outrageously low compensation

1. They definitely gave him opportunities to succeed which didn't work out that's for sure, day 1 they paired him with Fiala which didn't work then tried Kempe which didn't work. He seemed to work well with Arvi when he came back but that was only a small handful of games. He basically played the whole season with a rookie on his wing which would be hard for anyone.
2. No doubt he needs someone that can produce cause the guy barely plays defense which is what the Kings are known for which is why his lack thereof production is so heavily highlighted.
3. Acknowledging he's a good player like you did says it all. And you won't find a Kings fan dumping PLD to MTL lol Kings FANS are fully aware MTL isn't willing to give up what we would want in return for PLD which is why Kings FANS don't trade him to MTL.

1. You admitted he was given every opportunity and didn’t succeed. What makes you think he is more likely to bounce back lol.
2. Nothing else to say really. PLD is a teammates merchant
3. Usually, when someone say they are getting good players for taking on a cap dump, the cap dump isn’t considered a good player. The compensation are food players (Byfield or Clarke)

And if you don’t think Kings fans post PLD dump to Montreal, you’re wrong. There are daily PLD to Montreal trades here made by Kings fans (even tho it’s way better lately). Hell, they even started the day of the trade

Obviously LA says no. Trying to stick them with 2 cap dumps. Some Montreal fans never change.

Dvorak has 1 year left, Anderson has 3 years left, Dubois have 7 years left. Dubois is a different level of cap dump, it’s time to trade him now because if he has another down season, his value will be even worse.

he said yes to trading for PLDiva, and signed him for 8 years. We're not poisoning our team to fix his colossal ****-up. No matter how much Anderson and Dvorak stunk up the joint, it will never be worth it to bring on the laziest, most toxic player in the league, on an absolutely horrid contract.

If LA wants to be rid of the diva, they'll buy him out, and they'll do it in the next two weeks when it costs less to do it. If they don't do that, Rob Blake and his mentor Bergevin should be hung by their genitals from a tree. Then maybe the Kings can get people with brains in their front office.

We've avoided PLDiva like the plague he is for a reason. We don't want him, for any reason, and if any other team does, they're dumber than Justin Trudeau..

I'd have thought so too, but if you take on PLDiva with his awful contract knowing full well how lazy, immature, and toxic he is, that's how dumb you are. I guess that means Rob Blake has sub-Trudeau levels of intelligence. Is it possible to have a negative IQ?
