Description

Getting a guy like Pesce would be beneficial for the Oilers. Their defense has been hit or miss, but Pesce will help keep it more consistent in our own end. Plus, if he plays with Nurse, maybe it'll make up for the mistakes Nurse often makes. If Nurse is actually movitvated, on playing well, he can be a solid defenceman to play with Pesce. If not, Pesce has the ability to do what Nurse's other partners can't.
I do realize this trade means sacraficing valuable depth forwards, so let me know if you'd rather have better depth, or a top 10 defensive defender.

I wouldn't mind acquiring McLeod for those faceoffs, though. Maybe not for Sillinger, but in general.

Not worth it for us tbh. Silly just turned 21. Part of our future or in a trade for a sure upgrade.

2 prospects that would only take up SPC slots isn’t of interest to the Canes. Just send a 3rd or something. That is assuming that Pesce will even entertain signing for a Canadian team, which is unlikely considering he has stated in the past that he has no interest in playing for a Canadian team.

Honestly there probably is a better fit team, but I was just looking to trade Ceci for a solidified depth forward. Helps clear up cap. And with Pesce, there would be no use for him.

Personally, I’m not in favour of buying out campbell. I’d rather live with it for the next 3 seasons and just get it over with, rather than paying him for the next 5+ years.

I’m pretty sure I’ve read Pesce doesn’t want to go to a canadien market and prefers east coast. That aside, why are you even bothering trading for his rights. I don’t think being able to talk to him for two extra weeks improves your chances unless you use the 8th year and just overpay dramatically for him.
