Trading Cirelli

Créé par: JTBF81
Équipe: 2024-25 Lightning de Tampa Bay
Date de création initiale: 6 juin 2024
Publié: 7 juin 2024
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
I don't think Tampa is actually taking offers on Cirelli, but thisnkind of trade would at least be one they'd consider. They shouldn't Wang lottery tickets or unproven prospects, but a proven NHL player in return. The other trades could be tweaked as needed in terms of pick value, but it's an idea of what Tampa could do with the F situation if Cirelli, plus the other three that are often mentioned, are traded.

Quinn has higher upside and is probably better or close to being better than Cirelli right now.

I don't think that Raddysh would cost much-- he's a 26 year old coming off a 14 point season-- but I don't see why the Hawks would give up a pick and Raddysh for a 27 year old coming off a 14 point season with a $2.6 million cap hit.

It should be illegal to make Quinn trades.

Adams 1st draft pick and we essentially sabotaged our season hoping he would be healthy. He is going to have a monster season

Cirelli is perfect. But not for Quinn.

Trade the 1st and a prospect

Idk if Buffalo would move Kulich for Cirelli, but if I were Tampa, Kulich would be the first guy I'd try to get from BUF if I traded Cirelli to them

Hawks probably only make that trade if their plan isn't to qualify Raddysh. If they are going to resign him, that's too much for Jeannot.

I'm not doing that as a Tampa fan, trading our second line center and getting another wigner in return make little sense. I like Quinn a lot tho, he would be a good fit otherwise but, we can't run a team with Roslovic or Paul as our 2nd line center. I feel like this would make more sense on a Cernak deal. Let's say, Cernak and a 4th for Quinn.

I would think the higher pick would be going to Chicago in the Raddysh/Jeannot trade since it is Tampa who is cap strapped. Having said that I would do the player swap straight up.

Sabres and Lightning are in similar boats - both are in a "win now" mode so making a lateral move of proven players going each way isn't likely. The Sabres want a proven 3C - preferably younger than older - but odds are they don't want to rob their current core or NHL roster to acquire him.

Of course, Lightning aren't interested in picks or prospects, which is the main currency that Buffalo would want to use.

San Jose should be calling for Jeannot. Need some toughness in that forward group to shield the rookies

Cirelli is a really ideal 2c but I agree that Buffalo declines, Quinn has fantastic offensive microstats and with new coaching hopefully it results in an increase in counting stats (not that I am overly confident in Ruff as a coach)

Cernak the last two seasons prior to the 3 cup final runs has not been a very good player at all. That would be an easy no for buffalo

The last two seasons have been horrific for cernak. Not the same player he was prior to the extension at all. Evolving hockey, Rono analytics, all3zones pretty much show consensus on that

Tampa is not in a re-build nor re-tool, so Cirelli should only be available if the main piece in return is someone proven at the NHL level, not a prospect with 1 game of experience. Not saying that Kulich or Savoue aren't guys Tampa would look for ornthat they won't have solid careers, but Tampa shouldn't be moving Cirelli for them.
